Having a bit of trouble on rear sensor any tips on the removal. There are no nuts left on my sensor and it's ceased on don't want to damage the surface

I don't think you have to get that extreme, mine were so rusted (nuts) that I just pulled the sensor right off the mount and the rusted nuts basically fell apart

the shield is mounted on top of the sensor, u can almost just grab the shield and pull off that way ,then just pull off the sensor

a nice deep socket and mini ratchet helps if u can still turn them off, they aren't torqued down hard.

no don't hit it no more, get out the ratchet I think 13mm deep socket, if the are corroded you can go down to 12mm,11mm till u get a grip on them, u will get them they Arent that hard to get off, justslowly untighten, if it stops retighten, spray WD40 wait try again

If it was installed with the gasket, you should be able to wedge a chisel or screwdriver in between the sensor and the flange. That and a pair of vice grips on them nuts is how I managed to break mine loose and replaced before my last smog inspection.

I hate to brake the bad news but using any other brand than Denso on them sensors isn't too good the aftermarket ones even Bosch do not work good and they start throwing codes. best to get one off ROCKAUTO or find the DENSO part number and run an EBAY search, the densos come with new gasket and all
