    It is crazy now, heavy dino oils can actually cause oil consumption issues and engine noises. Some have even had damage that required replacement parts.

    Not your truck, your beast is still a dino oil truck. 5-30wt is/can still be dino oil. Now, run synthetics if you want, just remember it is still the same old oil filter designed around a 3-5k oil change

    I asked about it and said should I get 2 oil changes prior (considering it's like a 3-4K change) and they said no. No oil change needed till 10k, then 2nd at 20k. Then up to my discretion as to how often from then. Hence I wanted to ask because it seems crazy on a new engine in paticlutar..

    Yup.like I said only at 1800 but was just thinking next month I'd prolly change it..but I'll stick to 3k see how nasty it is and go up from there

    Sheesh are we bullying another user in 2017 besides me! Don't give me a complex with the Hello Kitty stuff. I saw a sticker on a vehicle infront of me few days ago, almost rear ended up in rage :infantry:
