    Hello to all!

I'm currently interested in buying a 2017 Tacoma. I've got my eyes on an new AccessCab, 2.7 4cyl, 4x4 and 6AT, black in color W/ SR convenience package(cruise and keyless). Nothing more nothing less.

Seems like this configuration is not possible in the south(Arkansas). Does anyone know if this is true or not? Is it a rare combo or is just Toyota not selling these here?

I searched a few car sites and only found ONE spec'd out the way I'd like; somewhere on the east coast. When i punch in my New York zip code on the build site i can option out a Tacoma to exactly what i want, but down in Arkansas it seems like you can only order it in Super White. I supposed i can call ahead and order one in NY before i head back for leave but it'll be much easier for me to get a truck down in AR. I talked to the local dealer last week about ordering one to my liking and they haven't been able to find anything.

Anyone know the regional limitations on these new Tacomas? Sucks if I have to go all the way back to NY to order it :(

SRs don't come with cruise but you can add it yourself with Toyota parts after you buy it.

Their website shows an optional package that'll get factory cruise and keyless entry without having to jump up to a SR5.

I may just add it myself since i can live without keyless entry(though it'd be really nice). Would it be covered under warranty?
Another issue is it doesn't seem to let me get a 2.7 4wd access cab in any other color but white or gray...Guess I have to consider getting a 2WD model.

The website only shows what is already available near you or what is scheduled to be made and delivered near you. Type in different zip codes for different areas or Go to a dealer to see all available colors and options.

How far away are you from the Louisiana border? I know of two dealerships in the Shreveport/Bossier area that would be able to help you.
Now, keep in mind you will probably have to order one, because most of the SR that I see come in to both dealers are white, so getting a black one may be the issue.
Just a quick question, this is not to offend you or hurt anyone's feelings, but, what will be the main purpose of the 4x4? I ask because I am curious about the power of the 4cyl with 4wd.
I just checked on Toyota website using my zipcode, and there is a white one with 4wd 4cyl with conv. package. There is also a black Double Cab, 2wd with conv. package.
Let me know if you need any contacts at either of those dealers, both are great to work with and one has a manager that is a member on here.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!

I sort of wanted the same thing, but after doing a little research I changed to a SR5 4WD v6 AT Access cab . the feature step up from the SR were worth it for me. Then I ran into the color issue. Several access cabs around but nothing the exact way I wanted it --Blue with only Tow package. I ordered -- it should be in around mid to late Jan.
    I got mine for 31.400
Good luck -- my best advice take your time and get what fits your needs/wants best-- order if necessary --you will thank yourself later on down the road. Remember dealers prey on the "gotta have it right-now" mentality of the American consumer. This is why people wind up with stuff on vehicles they never thought they wanted. Also the price of a 8-9 hundred dollar option does not "SEEM" that high when spread out over 4-5 years, when actually what does that option added ACTUALLY cost when all the interest is added on top of the original price?
One more thing --DO NOT TRADE IN --sell yours outright -- Dealers make an average of 3-5000 on used cars. where do you think that profit comes from? --That's right --out of your pocket! I have never Traded in a car in my 60+ year of life. Last 2 -I sold on Craigslist to the first people that saw them.
Top 3 considerations: 1. What can you afford? 2. What do you "need"? 3. What do you want?
People on this website are at all different stages in their lives with all sorts of different levels of income.
No matter where you are at in your life/income stages, you should take some time to think out your vehicle purchase, ahead of time.
    Good luck with your search/purchase!

I have a 16 sr with cruise control. I don't have intermittent wipers, but I have keyless entry. I'm in Mississippi, but bought my truck in Memphis, TN

I'm located in the Little Rock area.

Main reason I'm looking to get a 4wd model is because in about 3 years I'm gonna be going back to NY, and 2WD trucks are a major pain to sell up there since everybody wants 4wd. Granted I'll be keeping the truck for a long time so it probably won't make much of a difference in resale value, BUT I will be doing some light off roading in the mean time. Seems that a majority of the Prerunner owners on this forum have no issues off road with A/Ts and the factory LSD, so I might just end up going with a 2WD since it's a good $3k cheaper, though i dont know how the 2WD trucks will handle snow. I'll have to check with the other Toyota dealers in the area. The one down the street isn't responsive, all they're trying to do is sell me a CPO 2012 Tundra.

Already checked the site, found only 1 match that was outside my price range due to having a few extra accessories tacked on. I wont be able to travel to get the rig, sadly has to be from the local area.

OP, as the owner of a black tacoma I would like to express my concerns for your color choice. It is a pain in the butt to keep a black truck clean, if it were me I would consider the grey like Aaron has, looks good and easier to maintain. Do not get me wrong, I like black, I just washed it for the 5000000th time and am a little pissed at the moment because I know it will need it again after a 20 mile drive. :pout:

Yup black is a pain to keep clean. Though it looks great when it is LOL. I may go with silver, not a fan of dark gray. Just can't seem to find one with the conv. Package which also adds the colored bumpers/mirrors/door handles.

Now that I think about it I might settle with a 2WD model. Don't want to stretch for a 4WD model if 2WD and A/Ts can handle some light off roading. Probably won't ever use 4 unless I get stuck in snow or mud. I'll take my chances.
