I saw about a dozen mustangs out at Sycamore today, it was kinda bizarre. I guess out there at least there isn't much to crash into??

 

So question, my free oil changes are used up at the dealer so I'll be doing my own now, so what's the go to oils for these Engines/Arizona, also regular or synthetic. I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow for some oem filter as well.

 

Using royal purple for now. Have 10 more bottles at home, then will reevaluate it.

I cannot endorse running diesel oil on a petrol engine. The detergents are different and will break down differently in reaction to the different metals and fuels. I don't have specific "proof". However, Shell says to only use diesel oil in diesel engines.So...


I use mobil 1. Its cheap and has a solid reputation. I'm not using my truck in any competitive manner nor do I have forced induction.

 

Wally world has the 5qt Mobil Juan for a good price usually.

Not too bad. Did mine by myself. You have spring compressors? Second set of hands will definitely help a ton though.

 

I am switching from amsoil to rotella on my next change. I don't think I will for the bike, but from everything I have read it is more bang for the buck.

 

Javelina may be the ugliest animal I've ever seen. Do people actually eat those nasty buggers? Probably just trophy hunt.

 

I heard they're not bad. Id eat it. Trick is to not knick their musk sacks when harvesting.
