It wasn't bad. It felt like other mil spec triggers I've shot. I replaced it with a Hipertouch 24E though.

Mine was a piece of junk that broke down in under 500rnds. It tuned each of the gas rings into what looked like finger nail clippings. They were shaved into crescents that fell off when I pulled the bolt from the carrier. BD replaced the rifle, which I never took possession of and got a refund from my dealer and bought a DD. I never got a clear answer what caused this.

I was thinking the Primary Arms higher end red dot or even the under $100 versions (name escapes me at the moment).

I have a PA and it works good. Also have a Trijicon MRO which I like better due to it having large glass. Makes it look less like looking through a tube.

The Aimpoint PRO is considered to be the low end of the high end red dots. In other words, most consider them good kit for home defense and other critical roles, even though they're cheaper than other Aimpoints.

I have an Aimpoint T2 on my "serious" carbine and I like it a lot. The brand is solid and the PRO should hold its value well should you decide to sell it.

Just bought my first gun, Ruger AR 556. Looking forward to spending more money on gun and truck parts in the future. If anyone has recommendations on brands/products would love to hear em. I'm looking to get a Vortex Viper PST scope.

The Vortex PST line is a great line of scopes. Youll see quite a few of them around. For the price point and customer service/warrenty they are hard to beat. Sadly their Razor line isnt quite as popular but i love the gen 1 razor i picked up when the gen 2's were being released

Better to ask what I have not done.
Any one on here a cerakote guy? I have a question for you. I just bought a chassis for my 300 wm and its cerakoted black and i want to cerakote it FDE can it be done easily? Or is doing it over an existing cerakote a bad thing?

I know its not an ar15 but it does take an ar15 grip and butstock.

(This is just one of their pics from the website)

Would i have to take it all off in sand blasting? Or just to rough it up? And would the sand blasting be something my cerakote guy should do or do i have to get it done prior to giving it to them?

The warranty was the main selling point for me, can't beat that kind of service. I'm really excited to start moding this gun, btw do either of you guys have any opinions on the Ruger Ar or the company itself? I did my research before buying and saw nothing but good things.

Best part about the PA red dot (and you'll either get this or you won't) is that the dial goes to 11.
I laughed for several minutes when I saw that.
Made me wonder if someone at PA is a Spinal Tap fan.

Ruger is, as it has always been, a top notch company, like Colt.

Alright AR gurus I was out shooting today and had something strange happen. When you pull the trigger it fires one round. If you immediately release the trigger it resets fine.

However when you keep the trigger squeezed after firing then let it out slowly it will fire another shot or 2. What is going on?!

    going to be fun!
Is this a home built gun?

Or is it a Rock River AR?

Are your trigger pins walking out?

Have you checked the trigger pin holes?

    Disconnector springs in upside down?

Is this a after market trigger?

Some talk about Vortex on here but anyone have some experience with their red dots and their magnifier? I bought a cheap scope just to put some rounds down range but it sucks. Looking at a vortex red dot and their side flip magnifier.

I figure at the price point and with the warranty it's the best choice. Not using my AR for anything then fun
