Is everyone with big cases bolting them to bed or just packing them when they go on trips?
    image.jpg
I got this case for Christmas to keep recovery gear and what not in and deciding is it worth to keep in truck at all times or just remove and pack for every trip

I have some Army boxes mounted on the wheel wells permanently. One has recovery gear and the other has tools. I have a big box like that full of spare parts, fluids, and few larger tools, that comes with me on trips only. All of my camping gear is also split into to large boxes that only get included on trips.

Over the past six months I have been helping TW members (Mainly here in Phoenix but also out of state) who are interested in some hard military-grade plastic cases/boxes for camping gear, tools, recovery equipment, etc... I've usually asked for TW members to send me their desired specs (preferred brands if any, color preferences if any, size restrictions, dimensions, wheels or no wheels, and anything else, etc). Once I have enough people who are interested and have established what you are looking for, I will check out my local resources (mainly technology companies) and see if I can find anything that suites each persons needs. I can find these in used condition for a fraction of the price new. However, I am also simply buying ones now that I find to be popular options for our kind of crowd cuz I know they'll sell. Like the ones pictured in this thread which are Hardiggs (15.5x17.5x32) on top, followed by Pelican 2975s in the middle (fit perfectly between 2nd and 3rd gen wheel wells below the rail system), and Pelican 1690s on bottom... The 2975s ($220 for the set) and the green 1690 ($160) are currently available.

Here are some pics of the ones currently for sale:

    IMG_3454.jpg
    IMG_3455.jpg
    IMG_3446.jpg
    IMG_3447.jpg

In the past I've found the following brands:

    -Pelican
    -Pelican-Hardigg
-Hardigg (Which are what my personal ones are, but harder to find)
-ECS (very hard to find in practical sizes)
-SKB (Usually rather expensive, but usually practically new!)

Color wise, most of the cases I find are black or dark army green. Occasionally I'll find grey ones, and rarely do I find tan ones.

I've seen all sorts of sizes/dimensions, so if you want something specific in that regard let me know, but giving me a range is really helpful! That said, I do not typically find rifle style cases - these are technology companies.

As for pricing... One of the reasons I'm making the list of interested buyers is that often times I can get a good discount on the cases if I buy them in bulk. Usually the prices can range from $80-$160 each depending on the case (mainly size dependent). Again, They are also all USED cases but finding functional ones in good condition isn't a problem. Almost all of which are weatherproof, I doubelcheck all hinges, clasps, handles and seals before purchasing. Shipping via Fedex for these would range from $40-$80... But I've also had people drive to Phoenix from Colorado and California for bulk orders. Here are some pics of past finds... PM me if interested...

^^ Great stuff thanks for the reply and info. Its really appreciated. I'll be looking at possibly purchasing something from you in the future. I'll get needed dimensions for you when I'm truly in the market.

Not sure how many people follow Mountain State Overland on YouTube, but they are now offering guided overland trips. (Link: http://www.mountainstateoverland.com/expeditions)

I really like the videos, but I am personally not the type of person to take a guided tour. Still, others may find it a great way to try their hand at overlanding with a little more sense of security. I couldn't find a price on the web site. In my experience, that usually means either one hasn't been set yet, or "if you to ask ..... " ;)

I have 6 different camp showers,

My favorite to date, is the Zodi Extreme with kitchen sink sprayer attached.

I have one of these too, and if solo, it's my go to for washing my face and noggin at the end of each day.

I have one of these also - they work great.

I extended the hose, and put a spray nozzle on the end - makes it easier to use.

Also, instead of using the heater (as shown) I just boil a pot of water on my stove and add to outside temperature water already in the sprayer.
