Agreed. For me a Flippac or Habitat are a better choice.

On that note... My son called on New Year's Eve, he got pulled over in NJ for speeding the LEO cut him a break and gave him a ticket for not wearing his seat belt.He came home yesterday afternoon and handed to me, with a Terrible look in his eyes he is worried that it's going to effect him leaving for the Air Force later this month.
I told him don't sweat it.
I say thank you to that LEO.
    Sorry for your experience ZachMX

I was always in the wrong when I got pulled over. Some LEOs are dicks, some are not.

I have always been brutly honest about what I did and never tried to play dumb. Only had one NJ trooper throw a whole shitload of tickets at me. Beat most of the charges in court and downgraded a few. But I was driving like an idiot at the time

I got nailed for speeding the night before I was leaving for boot camp. Ended up with a seat belt ticket too.

Funny thing is he never told the LEO his situation.I tink he was just doing his job just not trying to be a dick about it.
Side note,i work with cops everyday and most of them are cool and dont like to be A holes as long as you dont give them a reason.

I should be done with all prep work by this Wednesday. Should be an easy bolt-on. Less than 30 minutes is my guess. Any kind of fine tuning I can do in the warm comfort of my garage on the weekend. So I could probably still use your hoist this weekend @HolyHandGrenade .

How about Thursday or Friday? 7:30 PM-ish?

This Saturday, I'm gonna switch out coils, shocks, UCA's... then off to alignment.

@Sub-Zero - still have your Steel T-Case skid
@Lilcarkid - Mobtown Recovery bar is off the truck - you have first dibs
@Casper66 - I think you have second dibs on the recovery bars

Also available: Rear OEM Hitch, Rear OEM Bumper, Front OEM SpeedWay Blue Bumper Fascia

Nope, I'm out in CA now. That's a flatbed model, very sweet.

Does anyone have advice on a farm jack? I was thinking about getting the Harbor Freight special but then my mom gave me an Amazon giftcard for Christmas so I might order a Highlift. Any suggestions on the size I should get? I can't afford a bumper and winch right now so I feel like I need a farm jack for piece of mind.

Get the longer one. You can always cut it shorter if you need to. I guess it's 60" if I remember correctly. It's a useful tool, but sometimes over estimated. If you don't have sliders or steel bumpers your only option for lifting the vehicle is the wheel strap, which if you need to change the tire you'll have to lift it, then set the axle back down on a rock/log/jack stand, then remove the wheel, install the spare, then jack it back up. A floor jack or bottle jack works much better.

Or if you're talking about using it as a come along, you'll need plenty of strong chain and plenty of time, to be able to pull the truck out of anything.

Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing, but it's not magic.

Oh, and spend the money for the hi lift model. Bar jacks are dangerous enough as it is, don't take chances on Harbor freight Chinese steel.

A 48" will come up short if trying to lift a truck with enough rear droop if you're not on flat land.
