I had the original TSB in late July at 5200 miles. After 1500 miles it seemed to slip some from 1-2 and 2-3. Now at 8800 miles it seems to shift pretty good. My biggest gripe is being in 4th or 5th gear at 37 mph. If I kick it then downshifts fine. Was going to get rev 1 TSB with service in a couple of weeks. Think I will hold off for now since it is shifting good. Just hate the lugging at 35-40 mph but the mpg's are really good as is. Everything is a trade off. Overall I am real happy after 350 days of ownership. Well there is a nagging driver window rattle when 3/4 or 7/8 closed. I will let them fix that. I did notice my mileage dropped the last couple of tanks. I suspect we are now getting the winter grade gas here. I always lose 1-2 mpg using winter gas in every car we own. Still averaging nearly 19 mpg in town. Not too shabby. Can't wait for the holiday break to install my redline tuning struts. These trucks should have come stock with lift cylinders as heavy as the hood is.

Been driving on Rev1 for a week and a half. Shifting points are still good. Seems there is less bog down now and having better throttle response as if it has learned how to deal with it better - downshifting more appropriately. Of course this comes at the expense of fuel milage. I was getting 20 city, now 17.

This cold snap in the NE has revealed the trans cannot handle the cold. I have a worse hard downshift when stopping. It drops out of gear and lunges a lot when making turns. Noticed a few engine surges also. When exiting a parking lot into traffic, the truck started creeping forward. Looking down at the tac I noticed it jumped to 1k RPM for a few seconds. Not a good thing when your looking over your left shoulder at on oncoming traffic. You can't see that it's moving forward.

Could the economy loss be due to winter gas?

You can now call me Mr Happy Pants. Got my tranny tsb rev 1 today, an oil change, my tires rotated, an entune update and my 1 year/10k service at 8,953 miles. Only drove 3 miles thus far but the 1-2 and 2-3 shift seems better which was my only tranny issue. This weekend installing my redline tuning hood lift struts. Moved 2 loads of furniture the past 2 days. A productive week with ole blue.

I hope it lasts for you, it did not for me. But, I got a platinum warranty in the mail today. And the dealer called me out of the blue to install some door seals which I have never mentioned and know nothing about.

The original tsb fixed all. Then after 1500 miles the 1-2 and 2-3 shift flare showed up. Otherwise the transmission works good. As long as this single issue stays gone I will be a happy camper. If it comes back I will address it with Corporate as I have done to resolve several other issues. Right now all is good.

So I am taking my truck in tomorrow to get the 5k mile service done as well as the TSB update. I spoke to the service technician is they do it at the dealership I will be taking it to and he said they do them all the time there just about every other day and several of them too.

He didn't say which one they will perform, he informed me that the service tech will take a look at the truck after doing the 5k servicing and see what issues are occurring. Then from there they will let me know what issues the truck is experiencing. Just so I know which paper work to take in for it, which update should I take with me? There was the original one posted and then some rev 1? I want to take the correct one that is needed.

Make sure they perform the rev 1 tsb that came out in October. It addresses issues covered by the original tsb plus more issues not originally covered. After driving around town all day I am very pleased. It shifts like it should have from the factory. Now I do not have to think about it. Drives and shifts like all the other vehicles I own. Dare I say "normal".

Leaving to pick up my truck from the dealership. They confirmed the update was performed but no telling if these guys are trustworthy. Will report back on the status.

Sorry guys got a little busy after picking it up. HAPPY NEW YEAR from San Antonio!! Lol so they performed the update and checked the tranny fluid and everything smooth! Shift points are a lot better and the park to drive or reverse to drive is no longer a harsh throw/clunk. Also noticed the difference when leaving he dealership.

One thing I have noticed and felt (maybe it's just me) is that when I'm trying to pick up speed on the highway, I now have to step on the gas more than I used to before just to drop a gear. But other than that it's all good!!

If it performs noticeably worse when cold and improves after warm up could that be anything other than inadequate fluid level? I don't know how mine performs in the cold because I live in Florida but I see more complaints on here now after the cold snap up north.

I have no idea. I live in Texas so we haven't had too many cold days lately and I don't see any more cold fronts coming through. I'd like to know as well though.

I have a scheduled 15000 mile service tomorrow , I have all the issues noted in tsb-0077-16.
I asked the service manager about this tsb and he said he wasn't aware of this tsb.
I printed it out and will show him the printout.

Typical dumbass service people. I printed mine out but didn't hand it to them until they said there wasn't a TSB. Then said they found it but it doesn't apply to my truck. Once I presented the paperwork, they were like ahh yeah look there it is lol. Morons

success! Everything went well a dealership. I had the TSB printed out, but service man said, "oh I don't know how we missed that the first time around?"
Oh,well, 15K stuff and they did the TSB. In and out in 45 min. Tested Cruise Control on the way home and that issues has been fixed.
    Seems like trans shifts smoother?

Had mine done at 6,500 3 weeks ago. I've put 400 miles on it since. The shifts feel smoother, and I'm averaging 23 mpg on highway versus 20-21 before. I wasn't expecting mpg change.

One thing I noted when I first had the truck, when we were going downhill and I would squeeze the break and it would downshift automatically. Thought that was different. But that stopped after about 700 miles. I figured it was due to the learning process. I didn't notice that same downshifting when driving down the same hills after the flash.

I've peeled out at a light a few times and backing up right after the flash with same pressure on the gas pedal prior to the flash. Now I've learned to lighten up on the pedal.

Overall, must say I am happy with it but think I need to get to at least 1000 miles on it before I can say anything about it.
