Yes. To be specific this one. That's the same one but not the guy I got the toolbox from. Maybe he bought it after the video or something. Not really sure but it was definitely a 918. I talked to him a little and found out he's a flight mechanical engineer for Northrop Grumman and his wife is a neurosurgeon haha. No wonder he was just giving away a craftsman tool box. Well that and his "damn kids" lol

 

Couple things came in! @Shmellmopwho high lift mounts (behind cab)

High lift slider adapter

And CB Antenna mount (driver side rear)



All of these products are hand made and damn are they stout!!! Fast shipping and a generally excellent buying experience all around.

Cool story. In a few years, that car will be worth twice what he (she?) paid for it.

 

Drove it to work.... watched it out the window for 8.5 hours until I got to drive it home!!!! Another 15 miles under the belt!!!

 

It was definitely his car but no telling who paid for it. Yea he was a pretty cool guy. I couldn't believe it when I actually saw it haha

It kind of went dead because I don't think he had enough peeps and they were saying the price from Amazon Prime (free shipping) would end up being about the same. I'd rather support the dealer that is a member here, but I guess we'll see.

I finally put on my sumosprings in the rear. Man I was surprised how easy it was and how my freaking ubolt nuts came lose easily. No wonder my leaf springs were squeaking. So I guess in a way I kind of killed 2 birds with one stone. No more squeaky rear. I regreased my ujoints since the last time I did it, I didn't wait for all the 4 seals to purge out grease.

 

Finally ordered and installed an immryo rear view mirror bracket. Works great, dont know why i waited so long.

 

Also instslled a northstar 31m battery from a group buy along with a pelfrey cage (also from a group buy, like 2 years ago) i had powdercoated to match my coils and shackles.

 

That ugly wiring is just temporary.

Just got home from driving it in the snow for the first time this year, and actually using 4 wd instead of turning it on purely just to exexcise it.

 

That ball joint was the prob but I think I got it to just pop off
