I wish I'd known enough back when to do it all once. I'd really like to upgrade.

ya, I was going to go the route of something else first but after talking to a few shops and people they all said if I know what I want to do and what not, better to pay up front more and just be done, instead of going with something cheaper then take it out and go for something better.

Long run its cheaper to just pay the $6k for a good quality lift and be done than buy a $2k lift then change it for that same $6k lift.
(I'm talking the loonie, prices are probably cheaper south of the border)
But my fox kit is coming close to $6k Canadian.

This is the place to ask. I am sorry for all the bull shit posts you encountered at first. The following posts by Kyitty and others were spot on however. I haven't been in this seen all that long myself. My local shop sold me the RC lift/ leveling kit and i installed a set of Mickey Thompson 17x9's with 285/70/17's and loved it at first. I didn't think ride quality was horrible, and it gave me the "look" I wanted. At 50 years old anyone who would call me a "Bro" can shove it up their ass. After being educated on here and by new friends locally i met on here I revised the whole thing to a functional suspension without breaking the bank. What others have told you is true figure out what you want to do with your truck. If your going to keep it on the street or do some light off roading i.e. mud your fine. If you want to get into some more serious stuff you'll need to change it up a bit. Have fun and welcome to TW there really is good info on here you just have to wade through the bullshit sometimes to find it

This is something I will drive almost daily and would def like to keep the ride quality as well as look good. I do hunt and fish which is where I will likely do most of my off-roading. But if the opportunity presents itself with some mud I'm in.
    Thanks for the response.

If thats the case I'd recommend looking around a bit more and do some research.
Might want to think of something besides rough country

As a dd and wanting a decent ride I would make 2 suggestions. 1 either look at some p rated tires as they will soften the ride because with the RC lift it'll probably be a little stiffer. 2 look at a reasonable suspension like Bilsteins with 887 OME coils to give you the lift and with the Bilsteins set at 0 you'll get a nice ride with like a 1.5" aal for the rear. This is a little more exspensive than the RC lift but not terrible. Just suggestions I am in no way an expert and I'm sure there are others on here who may be able to chime in with other good ideas

LOL yeah the bro in me couldn't handle the whistle from the previous roof light bar. Fortunately or Unfortunately the only light bar that eliminated that 100% was the Rough Country X5 lol

Toyo MT are awesome tires, but they will definitely be taller than BFG KO2 in the same size. My MT's are .8" taller than the same size BFG KM2. They balance way better than the Goodyear or the comparable BFG KM2
