Decided I would start on my valve cover gaskets today. They have been weeping ever so slightly since I got the truck.

@Madjik_Man, I bought a can of throttle body cleaner, not sure if I'll use it though. :p

Yeah it's pretty easy. Just some cutting involved. If you're worried about messing it up you can just get a replacement grill to do it on, they're pretty cheap. It took half a day. Also, just a tip, use screws instead of zip ties

Dude my truck was the same freaking way  ended up getting a clock from a rolled one.

    EDIT

actually my black one doesn't have a clock either. I'm not sure what package comes with a clock.

My friend has a 95-97 single cab with manual windows and locks, I don't think it has a locker, and it has a clock.

The welds aren't pretty but it was really good practice for me. Also welded some sheet metal to some metal stock in the bed that gave me some solid practice with thinner stuff too.

You said "The cable that runs from the handle in the cab to the bracket under the driver's side is the one that broke"

I can't quite tell on my small phone screen. Is that a tied up hooker on the left? That is a good mod.

    Stuff. Also things.
    The Eternal Tub Job continues...

Driver side is almost completely sealed up, FINALLY. Lots of seam seal, self-etching primer, black paint, and Herculiner. Only thing left is to shoot a couple layers of Flex Seal over the tub seams and rivet in some rubber sheeting to close out the fenders and the engine bay.
