Nice. For whatever reason when I first looked at the pics I was thinking they were taken in the Northeast. Now, that I've went back and looked again, I've been everywhere around where those pics were taken.

Holy shit, we just sold our 103yr old 4br 1ba fixer upper (that I put about $10k of work into in the 2years we were there) for just north of $300k. Bought my wife's childhood home a couple towns over that her dad and grandpa built 30 years ago for $350k, even with the family discount.

What's funny is after this conversation the attached file popped up on my notifications for a buy/sell trade face book group, ha ha.

My childhood home is 2,500 sqft. Upstairs all oak floors and caninents. 5bed/3bath Updated bathrooms. Basement is finished save for the storage room[ which only needs drywall to be considered a 6th bedroom]., shop, 2 car garage and geothermal a/c, concrete driveway. On 5 acres of land. It would cost $250k tops if we tried to sell it and updated it even more.
Tho I plan on eventually buying my brothers out of their share of it. So it'll cost me ~80k to own in like 15-20 years.

i've been trying to work my 2017 budget all night. Trying to fit in the lone star jamboree, a big trip to thailand/vietnam, and truck armor all in there is making me want to cry. I might have to hold off on some armor and truck goodies :(. That is if I can't find a second part-time. Applied a few places. But it won't matter if I get them or not budget wise. I've been applying for fun jobs that would get me a discount of somewhere I need to save money, lol.

Man how do you find the time off work to go to all of those places?

Thailand and Vietnam are going to eat up all my vacation time this year. It's a trip of a lifetime that I can't pass up though - so I'm going to make it happen. I'll be using 4 replacement holidays for the jamboree, and 2 personal days to go see my father/Houston rodeo.

you're kind of making me happy I dont own a house atm with all that work! haha
I bought tons of small goodies for the truck in the last few months, so I guess it's time to hold off anyways. I just want to get some sliders on before the jamboree and I'll be happy.

Ahh i see. My roomate has shifts like that. She's been on a bunch of trips this year. She told me she's used a total of 4 vacation days. It's just not fair! lol. I'd rather do the 12's 3-4 days a week and have that long time off to get stuff done in chunks.

Busy night, skeleton crew since it was still technically a "holiday" that we only get regular pay for.

I switch back and forth most the time. It works ok for me...don't sleep a lot of hours (maybe 5 hrs average) but, can sleep anytime & about anyplace.

I do the same. I'm more like 6-7hrs myself tho. I pull the 30+ hour days at least a few times a week. One reason I'm looking forward to day shift. it wont be so unhealthy for how i sleep.

Do you sleep during those 30+ hour days? I honestly can't pull a 12 without a nap.
