2002 Tacoma V6 Code P1135 Pinout for the F/A Sensor?

Hi all.
I tried searching the forum for this but no luck.
I got a p1135 code and want to check the sensor heater circuit.
Does anyone have a link to the pinout of the plug?
The part of the OEM is

$137 234-9001 Upstream Air Fuel Ratio Oxygen Sensor with 10.6” 4-Wire Harness, for Auto Trans Equipped Vehicles

234-9001 Denso.

I like your approach, how you are trying to confirm the circuit is operating correctly before throwing money that parts. Not enough people do that before posting.

On this forum is the factory service manual. It will have the wiring schematics for the engine electrical. You should find it in there. Try the ground first, you'll need to remove the glovebox to get to the Ecu plug to check the signal side.

If you hook up the meter in series you should be able to see if the heater is functioning. You'll need to use something to simulate air flow. Using a OBD tool you can also see the raw voltage.

The MAF heater is just there to keep the film at a set temperature. The air flow causing a drop in temp will result in an increase in voltage to maintain the temperature. The ECU measures the voltage drop as the level of air mass entering the system.

I was just to going to check for voltage to the heater and coil restiance, that should tell the story. I just wade through than manual to find the pinout.

if the sensor has over 100,000 miles on it and it is throwing sensor heater circuit
it is 99.9999~% chance a real code. just go get an OEM sen$or (there is a updated P/N from the time your
truck was new, the last digit changed) and install with new gasket

aftermarket is ri$ky as the toyota ecu is extremely fussy and wants to see
the exact waveform. if you go aftermarket get DENSO only
and the exact replacement match for the toyota part number

Autozone wants 170.00 for the Denso Part. Luckily you can find them cheaper

 

Do not buy aftermarket sensors. Ever.

And fuck Autozone. Might as well go to the dealer. Try a local parts counter or even Napa. Where are you located?

That is for the automatic trans. If you have a manual it's 9003 I believe.

 

I am with ya on this, but my denso a/f direct replacement on my 99 4runner has been solid

a previous bosch I installed only worked for 200 miles after ecu reset, once ecu recalibrated
it kept throwing codes. dumped it, went denso, all good

Yeah, Denso is the OEM of the sensor for Toyota. You just bypassed the 'Toyota' markup. The smart way to do it.
