Only two, thats not bad. Hell, I think there are three in Cullman!!!! Bought this one in Decatur, but they had to get it from Georgia. Only one in the southeast at that point. Another got delivered yesterday, somewhere. Only reason i know that is they were worried they could not get this one and said it would be the 2nd before another was on a lot.

Yea I have been told I will probably go on a waiting list. I want the OR with premium tech package with the color matched rear bumper, tow package. I know I won't get much if any wiggle on the price being so picky so I am hoping to make a deal to have them order me a pro grill as part of the sale.

I think I got the same CB for Christmas...I got a firestik for it as well.

Yea you need an antenna of course. The Firestik brand is the most used and they are rock solid. Get the one labeled Firestik "II" because it has an easy tune tip.

You'll also need the coaxial cable that runs from the antenna to the CB radio. To make life easier get the cable pre-made by Firestik model # K-8R18. Then you need a mount of your choosing.

Also realize that you don't want to cut the cable and will need to route the whole length. If I remember correctly, you should have no coils in the cable either. Mine is mounted on my hood hinge, so I routed mine through the cab boot, down the driver side through the cable tray, under my back seat and back to the front via the center console.

Coils can be bad as they create a baum. However you can fold the cable length wise back and fourth and it will have no effect.

My antenna is in the back, so I have the excess snaked under the floor carpet.

For what it's worth, I have a Firestik (can't remember exactly if I bought 3' or 4'; probably 4') but I wish I'd found/gotten a steel whip style one about that size.

Well it seems most people here have a skill that they can contribute to the group. I don't know how many really enjoy detailing but I detail cars as a side business (I wish huntsville had the market for a true detailer and not the only the spot wash and wax kind). But I'd be more than happy to help anyone with detailing needs or questions.
