Yea it would be sweet if it wasn't a rust bucket.

Looks like he could drop a new body on it. Undercarriage looked decent

Davis Ferry has 2 boats one holds 2 vehicles and the other holds 4. When I say vehicles I mean a huge RV with a 4wheeler mounted to the front would be considered 1 vehicle. The smaller boat could probably hold 4 tacomas and the bigger one could probably do 6. The bigger boat has one of those hydraulic metal ramps that could serve as a backstop but the smaller boat does not. They chocked 2 of my tires front and back and checked that I had the parking brake on and made sure I had it in park and they don't take your word for it they actually checked after I got out. This is the ride over on the small boat looks a little sketchy but it wasn't going anywhere.

Thanks! Second question... is there a ferry that runs the inlet between the South Core banks and the North? Trying to figure out if there's a reasonable way to traverse the whole of seashore park from N to S...

I don't think you can get to north core banks from south core banks I think some people kayak between the two but if you want to get to North Core banks you take the Portsmouth island ferry out of Atlantic NC which is about 10 miles north of Davis. I think south core banks is more popular mainly because of the lighthouse and its a little bit bigger so more territory to explore. Ive heard its better fishing as well but I have never been to North Core banks except by boat. One thing Im going to do this year is park at the southern tip of south core banks and kayak over to shark island and camp there. Its probably about a mile to paddle over there and would be cool to camp there but you'd have to play the weather right as the water in between tends to get rough if the wind is whipping. A low SW breeze and its a lake out there. A 15-20 knot east or west breeze and its 3-4 foot breakers. This would be the route to get to shark island red being the ferry ride blue being the truck ride and black being the kayak portion. @ROCdermody

Picked up this hi-lift slider adapter from @adanfon

Also went and picked up a subwoofer enclosure today. Gonna cut the driver side off and sell the rest.

Fits on the hi-lift and makes it sit more flush on a slider.
