Dude not trying to be harsh but there is a lot of casing going on there. That can't be very fun, that being said your out there doing keep up the work and it will get smoother! Also it looks like you might supermoto? I used to race a lot on the west coast! IMG_0830.jpg

Ya, you'll get there Sacrifice. A 450 on a MX track, 3rd gear on it should get you over most jumps. When I had a 450, I stayed in 3rd for a lot of the track. It's actually pretty easy if you can just learn to keep momentum, because the bike just lofts over jumps in 3rd, unlike a 250F where you have to aggressively work the motor a bit (basically shift / rev a lot).

That was my first day, and unfortunately the gopro SD card didn't catch much of the later stuff which i felt a lot better about. So that was early on. I need a lot more practice I know

Yup I supermoto too. Had the 250 is SM trim but blew it up my second time out. Gonna rebuild it for woods only now since I bought the 450 to mx/SM.

I'm still a puss  I work my way up on the jumps until I get comfortable to hit them. Doubles still sketch me out cause I don't want to hit the face of hit going too slow.

Lol it'll come. You are doing well.

That's sick. You guys with the new 2strokes are making me jealous. I miss my YZ125 and 250 so bad. Hopefully we can get a '17 125 to add to the fleet this year. But house stuff has it up in the air. Still going to try though.

Yea I know that feeling I just got on my Down hill mtn bike for the first time in a few years and i had to get readjusted... My old race bike was a yz 450F loved that bike. I miss supermoto but it was expensive and time consuming. I mostly stick to the woods. I've done a few 24 hour races here and there including a 24 hour ice race in canada. If you ever get a chance to ice race, do it! It is the coolest thing I've ever done!

It's all expensive, lol. SM does cost me more mainly cause of the 5 hr drive to the nearest track. That and the beringer setup wasn't cheap either. I've taken the 450 out to the woods a couple times also.

I want to do a ice race. Have a few buddies in Wisconsin that do it.

Yea driving was a lot of it. plus parts and food just added up. Especially when your in high school I had to work in a motorcycle shop just to get the discounts... Only way I was able to buy my race bike, it was brand new and fell of the truck during shipping. Not much to repair plasticks and a pipe. I got a brand new Yz 450F for $2500.

Sick! I'm actually hoping Yamaha will drop a yz250f on me before mammoth mx this year.:D I've ridden the display bikes off and on for the past year or so... but for now the 125 is still stupid fun to whip around! And I can build them to make about the same hp as a weaker 250f :bikewhoops:

I raced a YZ125 in Plus-25 a few years back and did pretty decent. That is an open class, so it was mostly 450s and 250fs lol. I still say the 05+ YZ125 is the most fun, bang for your buck, bike that you can get (for MX bikes, at least). Like you said, you can man-handle the thing and the motor pulls nice. I'm sure the new KTM / Husky is nice too though. Also 01+ RM125s were cool as well.

Agreed, 125s are definitely one of the most fun bikes to ride, but when trying to get at least top 10s in collegeboy class and 250 B I want all the horsepower I can get at altitude!!! :D

Bikes and Tacos are like PB and J!!!!... My bike is the white black and red special edition 2011 YZ450f. New plastics and graphics going on in 2 weeks. 136 hours on the bike all of which are MX... she's starting to get old ;). Did the top end at 100 hours but that is it. Valves haven't moved since day 1... because I am slow and chug the bike  Next year might be time for a new one.

    Before new plastics/graphics:
