Take care cleaning it. Actually clean it upside down as to not knock any debris into the idle air control motor. Small amounts of blow-by are normal on almost all engines.

think its worth swapping out the filter like this guy did or better to just leave it alone?

Not really, that filter doesn't help with why they fail, at least on a Tundra

Aweful shit right there. Parents face for neglect or I don't know the whole story? A wandering kid is terrifying. I consider myself a solid father of 2..but them little boogers can move quick, and it literally does take about 5 seconds in Costco for one of em to round a corner and disappear...I can't even fathom the loss of a child.

The FBI officer who came to my door when they were still searching for the child said that he had a "history of running away". If you have a dog who has a history of running away, you build a higher fence and put a lock on the gate. If you have a young child who likes to run away you need to find a way to keep him from doing that otherwise whatever happens is your fault. It's awful that the child is dead, but better parenting could have prevented it

Sorry for all the questions, but how do they fail in the Tundras? Im just trying to better understand both the issue and my truck in general.

Nope, all parenting is supposed to be learned through osmosis through ps4, Facebook and Twitter, the rest should be taught at schools. Parents are just supposed to... Give birth to them these days.

At least that's what it seems like.

Do we know the kid wasn't snatched and then dumped in the lake?

I agree. When I said having a wanderer is terrifying it's because the parents are f'd. Set up to fail unless they have a cage or live in a hippie village..either way sad deal.

He is 48 inches tall. Put a little lock up at the top of the doors that he can't reach

My friends have kids (plural) with some special needs and they have latches on the fridge..every door, drawer, window in the house, and they constantly say at some point like a prison guard..they fail. One door randomly missed, and them kids are relentless. They find it everytime, and that's how they know they failed.
