Do you guys know it a 15 or 16x10 would fit with 4 in bs. Thinking of maybe just adding bigger spacer up front to make 2.5 or 3 inches and go with a 10 in wide wheel with 31x11.50s. Any thoughts if that will fit with minor to no rub.

you should be able to fit an 11.5 on an 8" wheel, Not sure if it'd rub but if it did it wouldn't be much (with 2.5-3" lift). heres a decent writeup on the pinch weld mod, I personally haven't done it yet: http://www.expeditionswest.com/equipment/tacoma/bfg_mt_km.html
Id probably try to stick to a 16" wheel just because you may want to do the tundra brake upgrade in the future (especially with 285s or larger).

You can run those 31's with your wheels already. You won't rub at all.

it's just hammering down the seam inside the fender well to get another 1/2" or so of tire clearance. For me, I'm running Bilstein 5100's on the middle setting (1.5" lift I think), and my BFG A/T's (265/75r16) rub the frame a bit at full lock in parking lots. Never had an issue with rubbing on the fenders, though.

As far as the 15" wheels, I looked into it because the standard wheels/tires are usually cheaper compared to our metric 16" size tires. They MIGHT fit, but some people end up grinding their brake calipers to get clearance. Again, do a search if that's a route you want to take - you might get lucky and find someone who did that with the same wheels as you... As Lux said, if you're wanting some serious meats on that rig, the stock brakes will SUCK and you'll want to do the Tundra brake mod (again, search...), which will mean you'll go back to 16" (or bigger) wheels... Even then, not all 16" rims end up fitting with the Tundra brakes (more grinding).

Well this what bothers me about putting bigger tires on what I have. They are barely flush with the fender flares as is and I want a little more stance, maybe an inch or two. I believe i should've gotten the offset for my wheels when I got them. Don't really want to use spacers because I would like the deeper looking wheel. Wouldn't be against getting a new set of wheels though.

Hey I just found a good picture of an 03. Pretty much same truck as mine except it is TRD. Has a 6in fabtech installed. I think its a little tall but I like it. Pretty sure those are 33x12.50s on 16x10s also.

Drop bracket lifts suck. Go with a true suspension lift and avoid spacers at all costs.

I just found a good picture of what I was originally thinking. Around 2-3 on suspension and 3 on the body, total around 5-6. I think it's sitting pretty decent myself with 33 mud-terrains which I'm a big fan of. Plus those BLs are a much cheaper option for me instead of a $2500 fabtech. Plus I already have 2 in worth right now. I know people hate on the BLs but I think it could work. One of my friends actually had a black Taco with 3 and 3 on 33s and it was nice. The main thing is you buy the frame gap fillers instead of looking through to the other side. May be the way I go in the end. And they don't go messing with the factory geometry. But theyre just for looks as most people say.

are you doing all the work yourself? I think a body lift that high needs a steering extension, brake line extensions, vacuum line extensions, fuel line extension, etc. And if its a stick your shifter will be 2 or 3 inches shorter, same with the 4wd shifter. Id probably just shoot for 4 inches, 3 on the suspension and 1 on the body then go with a decent deep dish wheel with 3"-3.5" bs, if the wheels still are rubbing (or you want them stickin out more) throw on 1.25" spidertrax spacers. and then put a good set of 285/75r16's on and that should be what you are aiming for (285s are 11ish" wide and just under 33" tall depending on tread) or you could try 12.5" wide but then you'd need 10" wheels. Also whats the budget here?
heres my truck on 3" with 285s, Im putting 1.25" wheels spacers on soon too because those are 4.5bs wheels

Well I know a really nice 4x4 shop inside 30 mins from my house. Would probably let them install a BL or bigger lift because of what's involved unless it's just bigger spacers, I did that with the 2in kit. As far as budget goes anything under 750 I can handle in the next couple months but anything pushing 1500+ will probably be towards summer before I make a move. Just getting a plan right now. But I think a 6in lift is out of the question now with what that would take. I may go talk to the guys at the shop also and see what they say and what they can do too. But I think if I keep the wheel I have now and add a 1.5ish spacer I think it'll fit the tire I want, maybe 33x11.50, and have more stance.
