There was one I tried to put together back in the summer at Capital Ale House in downtown Fredericksburg. People replied and said they were going, but no one ever showed up. I waited probably an hour and a half while having some beers and food.

Well that sucks hopefully things will be a little different now some of us are fairly dedicated to try and make this thread active for those of us down here where we are. My only drawback will be weeknights as I work so far north

You and me both! I work at Ft. Belvoir, and take the VRE to/from work, plus young kids in school so most weeknights won't work for me either. Hopefully we can get something going soon.

What about a simple spot like bww at central park? Easy to get to, more than enough parking and should have something for everyone.

Sounds good to me and fairly centrally located since all from this thread are fairly spread out

My apologies. Although I know I didn't commit to any meet last summer it's harsh that you wasted that time.

Yes I need to do Saturday afternoons, Sundays are possible but im usually on a river then.

I definitely wouldn't go up from Union Springs, which is what I did Sunday. At least not until it thaws and dries up. Even if you do, you may have to get creative with the skinny pedal and line choice.

You could probably make it from this end of FR85.

Definitely take an off-road friend with you though. Just in case. But I've never been a huge solo-mission person when it comes to going and playing in remote places.

Same here. Saturday afternoons work best, but Sundays are possible with decent notice.

Got some more pictures edited... Honestly didn't take as many as I'd like, but it was only two of us and I was just excited to be off-road. IMG951597.jpg IMG_20170101_111909_20170102203738465.jpg IMG_20170101_111941.jpg IMG_20170101_104609.jpg IMG951575.jpg

This is one of my favorites. My truck is in WVA and his is in VA.

One more mirror shot for you. I'm definitely already planning on a trip back up there. Probably some overnights when it gets a little warmer.

Shop is really looking great. He has it all sheated on the exterior. It's going to come together to be a really nice set up. I just live through the woods from him let me know when you might come by.

    A thing or two...
@Choco_Taco You can definitely make it up to Flagpole without 4x4. I went up in my Prerunner during the trail run in November. Just go up Dunkle Hollow Road which starts at Switzer Lake.

You do when you don't have any cold weather camping gear. The tent I have now is almost entirely mesh and the rainfly covers it. I used it a couple years ago on a 4 wheeling trip in early November and froze. We didn't have much of a fire though. Lol. I do want to pick up a new tent for some cooler weather stuff though.

Definitely will. I'm down by King's Dominion, so it's not often I find myself up that way.

That's one trail I bypassed up there. Passed a group of Jeep guys that said they came up that way. We kept going down FR85 to go to Reddish Knob.
