Not sure what the KO2's should be set at.. looks like people are +/- 10psi.

 

I'd say +/- 5 psi; 37 being the average. But I digress...

It will vary depending on; the truck's weight, weight distribution, tire size, load rating, etc.
The tire placard psi a good place to start. It is a recommendation based on GVWR, for the stock tire's size and load rating.
It is the PSI required to attain a 2,149 load rating from a P or ISO metric standard load tire.
Since you changed both, adjustments in PSI must be made.

Great info... Is there a chart like that for the BFG KO2's? I think 31/32 is a bit low which s what mine are running at. I am wondering if thats attributing to some terrible fuel economy right now.

 

LT is a standard; those charts work for BFG KO2s.

Yep, over the past coupe days I drove freeway to my mothers and back (60 Km's) then to another part of the city and back and a few other short trips. $34 that cost in fuel.

 

The high rolling resistance of the tread, tire weight, underinflation, winter gas mix, ethanol blend(I'm assuming here), and low miles are all conspiring against the advertised MPG.
The way I see it;
-Correcting PSI is worth, 1-2 MPG
-Winter mix vs summer, 1-2 MPG
-Ethanol blend vs non-ethanol; 1 MPG
-New vs broke-in(1,500 miles avg.), 1-2 MPG

 

At 39-40psi, how is the ride with the K02s? Just had a set installed and it is noticeably rougher in the rear than the Toyo A/Ts they replaced, which rode like shiat and were noisy as hell. I just aired down to 33 to give that a shot. The fronts feel good but I'm getting a ton of road feedback and bounciness in the seat that wasn't there before.

No lift, stock TRD Sport 4x4. Tires/wheels are 265/70/17 (TRD wheels)
By deflection, I assume you mean how did they index? RR, 9; LR, 12; FR, 18; FL, 15.
Have not done a chalk test. Would need to read up on that process.

Deflection is the difference in height from bottom of tire and bottom of rim, at rest vs. at speed.
Can't really measure at speed, so at rest.

What would you be running your KO2's at?

But, I have 265/75/16s.
It requires a lower psi to attain the same weight rating as a 265/70/17.
You can see this reflected in LT load tables.
Being taller, it has more volume in deflection.
PSI is a means to an end; volume of air.

I am also 500 lbs above curb weight.

I have mine around 40/41 when hot right now. I did a longer drive last night and the response was better... 7-9 PSI is a lot. When hot they are about 40/41 and this morning they were 38. This is from the TPMS display. Any recommendations here?

 

At 38 psi cold and only a 5% rise in temp sounds really good to me.
Ride any different to you?

 

Actually completely. More responsive and harder feeling on the road... But a good harder as in more control.
