4/2 lift 33's 18in Moto Metal Rims Light Bar Mesh Grille
    Hey all,
Few months ago I finished the lift on my 13 Taco. Ran into a few problems, my tires are wearing on the outside faster than they are on the inside. Also, truck shakes like crazy when you do more that 40 mph. I got an alignment after I did the lift and the shop said they didn't know what would cause it to shake. Anyone else run into any of these problems?

Did you do the spacers at the same time. I bought cheaper lugcentric spacers and my truck shook like crazy as well.. I returned them and did spidertraxx hubcentric and no problems now!

Tires wearing on the outside is definitely an alignment issue. If that's a 3" lift (which it looks like it is), did you replace the UCA's?

The shaking may be wheels out of balance. Did you do it all at the same time?

I just noticed his sig. Looks like 4" front (spindles?), and 2" rear.

It's 2 wheel drive I did a spindle lift 4in the front and 2 in the back and did not replace the UCA's. Was I supposed to? I did all the wheels and lift at the same time.

Most guys need to replace the UCA's when going 2.5", and above, to be able to keep decent alignment numbers. That's likely your issue with the tires wearing on the outside.

The vibration could be the wheels not being properly balanced.

With the spindle lift it kicks the front tires out so i had to put 1.25in spacers on the rear to make it look uniform. I bought some spacers on Amazon that were like $90 CNC machined aluminum. Do you think its the spacers?

Thanks, I'll check out the UCA's. You think I could get away with shimming the hubs LOL JK

Are they hub centric? Post the link to the exact ones. And yes you need UCA's. You've maxed the travel out. Not to mention, your alignment will be off causing the uneven wear on the tires until you replace the UCA's. Unbalanced tires cause the shaking. Where did you get your work done at?

If your spacers look like the ones pictured below, that's one of your issues. Some spacers on Amazon are lug centric, not hub centric. Makes a huge difference. Hub centric's have a lip. You won't be able to tell unless you remove the wheel.

I ordered the rims and tires online and did all the work myself. I have a shop at work.

They are definitely lug centric. Not hub centric. SOB

Light racing upper control arms are a good option for getting your alignment to where you want it (0 toe 0 camber 3+ caster) and also allow for extended travel- if the rest of your set up lets it.
