Same but we are a hike. Just put a lift up in the shop so we can start playing with suspension. And we have a forklift to help lift the heavy stuff.

I don't have any. Too late now. I can do it tomorrow or you can just look at them when you pick up the hoist.

OK. Now I know I haven't been dreaming my near-maxed out full rear shock extension.

I measured my max extension at about a hair under 27"

@Crom just re-measured his rear extension and its maxed out at 27.28"

We have the exact same rear set-up: Dakars + 28XL OME AAL, 3 degree shim, U-bolt Flip, B110 Shocks, Superbumps and STOCK SHACKLES.

The only difference between our two set ups is that Nick retained the 1/2" thick overload OME Dakar Spring. I removed it. This explains the approx 1/2" difference in our max extension measurement.

Finally cut and edge painted my bedsides in preparation for my BFF Rear HC Bumper.

    IMGP6770.jpg

I used touch-up paint for the visible edges. Regular rattle can paint for the other, not-so-visible areas/edges.

Bye-bye pieces of truck that I've been keeping safe for the past 12 years...

Prepped, primered, painted and palletized for the trip home.
Prep: Krud Kutter, Water Rinse, Acetone wash, Light sanding
Primer: Self Etching Rustoleum Rattle Can
Paint: Krylon Satin Rattle Can (on sale at Wally World for 2 bucks a can)

Hmmmm so does that mean my B110's are limiting my droop with the shackleflip?

I'm thinking yes. But if you can confirm and let me know that would be great.
Your best bet is to do the same flexing and measuring exercise that Nick did. Here.

See I'm just disappointed because IIRC in the original ATO shackle flip thread it recommends 27" extended stroke shocks. Me thinks I could have gotten away with more from the stock mounting locations.

But then you would have to limit up travel more. So no real gain.

Plus no need for that much flex on green trails :boink:

Trying to do initial homework before the big installation weekend.

I've done coils springs a couple times this past year, so I'm not forecasting any issues.

The SPC LR UCA's are a different story.

Any words of wisdom on installation?

How about the initial settings before I go off to get an alignment?

From what I have learned on this thread:
    1. Initial Caster should be set at "D" setting
    2. Initial Camber should be in the middle of the "Camber" slot
    3. OEM LCA Eccentric bolts should be set to "Neutral"

    upload_2017-1-4_20-10-13.jpg

FWIW, the front suspension will have Billie B6112's, Eibach 700 lb coils to support a HEAVY front end: BFF plate bumper/full hoops, 12k Winch with steel cable, full @Mobtown Offroad steel skids, Aux battery system in engine bay. OEM wheels on 255-85-R16 ST Cooper Maxx's.

    Tagging some peeps that I know have LR UCA's: @HolyHandGrenade @Sub-Zero @uurx

why are you messing with the LCAs? and yea i put the ucas to the neutral setting and it put it right at 3.0degrees. are you assembling the coils and springs on the truck? install of ucas is pretty simple, unless you ask Tim, he will try to tell you you wont be able to get it done in one night :p

I'm no youngn' like you Ryan. I also get up at 4:30 AM for work. Starting a front suspension project at 6:00 PM does not jive with my old man schedule
