Guess what's being installed tomorrow? I gotta say it was nicely packaged. Thanks KB VooDoo for fast shipment during the holidays.

@KB Voodoo are these kits programmed to enable smart start?

Was the install pretty easy? I already have the DBALL2 installed from KBVoodoo. Am I correct that the smart start is plug n play and then make an account on the website?

Pretty much, once you isolate the parts to plug in from the parts you don't. :)

Instructions are pretty specific that you need to have the DBALL2 powered off before you plug the SmartStart into it else you risk damaging stuff. Either disconnect the battery or disconnect the 14 pin connector on the DBALL2. See the scanned SmartStart instructions in my install write-up.

Right I get that part and I don't want to be the grammar nazi here but if your putting this ad on your website, you may want to fix that sentence.

Like I said not trying to be all politically correct and not trying to be offensive. I just didn't know if that was the same ad on your website and it would be a shame for someone not to buy your product because of a grammar mistake. Keep up the good work!

I installed mine today. I did it using military splices without soldering and then taping real tight with electrical tape. It was a bitch to strip the sections of wire to tap into and it took a fair amount of time because I was really careful not to cut any strands of the wire. It took me about 3 hours to complete the install but again, I was very careful and took my time. However, it paid off because it worked on the first try!!

With that being said, I'm a 33 year old female with no experience in wiring or doing any kind of auto installs. If I can do it, you can to. Just take your time and get things right the first time.

It's a great feeling when you hit that button three times and she fires up.

This kit is a great reason to get a Magnaflow exhaust. That way you can hear when your truck starts.
