    So, what I did with my S8 to eliminate one switch from the equation was to wire the backlighting directly to my DTRL. That way, they are technically on a switch, however will be on whenever my DTRL's are on. As for the rest of my lighting, the Squadron fog lights are plugged into my factory wiring/switch and the S8, OnyX6 and Rear facing squadron all terminate at the Switchpros "brain" under the hood. I'll upload a picture of that in a sec. Anyhow, this turned out to be a super clean under-hood setup and doing the backlighting on my DTRL's left valuable output space open on my Switchpros for something more important.

    Wow - Looks great! Thanks for the photos and advice to you both.

    BTW - I called Bailey at Baja, and he will be sending me the Squadron adapter cables. Great guy. Now I have to wait for the mail to arrive!

    I have an S8 also.

    I ended up making my own wiring harness, one switch - on/off

    Hey Ramon -

    Cool, but does that mean you don't use the back-light feature? I kind of like the idea of having it wired to the DTRLs since I use those daily. Not entirely sure it helps - You can't fix crazy, and we have plenty crazy drivers here.

    I posted this in the 2nd Gen Tacoma group, but so far, no one has responded. Peerhaps sosmeone here has more electrical experience and can help.

    I'm wiring in my Baja Designs off-road lights. I want to fuse the low current side of the relays.
    So I bought an add-a-fuse and planned to use one of the fuse locations under the dash by the drivers left knee. I also had 2 criteria. That I was tapping into a non-critical fuse, and that
    the fuse got power only with the ignition "on". So looking at the fuse descriptions, I picked the drivers side rear power window fuse. A 20a non-critical fuse that only gets power when the ignition is on. Supposedly in position 13 of the fuse block. So I pulled the fuse, and then as a double check, checked all the power windows. To my surprise, all 4 power windows worked fine. How can this be? The 20a fuse for the drivers side rear power window is removed?
    I've stopped the wiring at this point because I'd like to be sure that the fuse I'm tapping into is what it's supposed to be. Any ideas?

    Why not use the ACC 7.5A or the PWR 15A? Also the empty slots are switched 12v.
    DR LCK 20A is the only constant 12v in the interior panel..

    Remember to use the Add-a-Fuse right;

    Thanks, Mike. I saw the #4 Acc position, but the manual says it goes to the shift lock system and the
    power outlets. Also, the #5 position goes to the power outlets. I will check to see if these become live
    when the key is in the "on" position. But I still wonder why the power window works with the fuse removed. And yes, the common bussed side of the add-a fuse must be connected to the hot side of the fuse slot. I had already metered that out, and the hot side of the #13 fuse is the upper tab.

    I run my driving lights (4x Hella500ff 55w) up front through relays that are switched but the trigger is an Add-a-Fuse on the 10A HEAD (HI LH) and HEAD (HI RH) slots under the hood..

    I'm wiring up my Squadron Sports directly to the batt without a relay - as per the BD harness..
