They actually drove up to my place the other day... The whole way up instead of ditching the package in the field.

Flat black and tinted suburban rolled up when i was detailing the taco. I was slightly worried that was my last hour... They found me. But nope, still safe.

Just a heads up for those of you who use parks, or happen to recognize your neighbor... If you see him... Do as you wish.

He pulled into a lot, took the rack off another truck and put it in his car. Thankfully someone was watching.

If you aren't in the loop... Bike racks are being stolen daily lately. Unlocked, locked... Middle of the day.

It's not bad and the awning doesn't weigh too much. The outriggers are aluminum, the large hinge and the backing plate are metal.

When i had it on the prinsu, it worked fine when it was open, as you were opening it, the rack crossbars would flex slightly if you let it droop, but as soon as it is secured open, it's good to go.

My prinsu is an older version with the non HD cross bars... With new cross bars I'm betting it wouldn't flex.

That's front range. This guy was caught because there were a bunch of thefts from that same lot, and someone went, waited and watched. His car and personal description were provided in the theft a day or two ago.

But, racks aren't serialized, yet... So no way to prove that rack in his back seat is the one that just went missing unless he confesses, which he didn't.

What are they supposed to do? Chain him to the radiator?

A human is not a dog. A human has far more autonomy.

It's a tragedy. The parents shouldn't face any charges provided that there was no foul play. They have to live with the fact they outlived their young child.

If was wasn't so yella-bellied I'd mount an ARB awning (or the likes) to my topper. But no way I'm drilling holes in the fiberglass.

Front Range! Just great! Glad that POS got busted. I've got a metric ton of Yakima racks/accessories. Would love to know how he busted the racks off the vehicles...

    Thanks for the reply.

    It's easy. Everyone's doing it.

My awning solution will probably be one of the cheaper 270 degree ones and rebuild it to be self supporting like the Eezi awn.
