Western and Northern Maine got some fun out of this, but around here it was just rain sleet and ice. Had 1/4" on the Dodge this morning that I had to scrape off so I could scrape the driveway down before it sets up rock hard tomorrow. Fun, fun, fun.

I've got to get some scrap to practice first but that could be arranged. Getting the mask/gloves for my birthday, but that's only a few days away

The ice situation is fantastic right now in NH. Best I have seen it in probably 5 or 6 years. I'm fishing southern NH lakes with my snowmobile already. Was out the 23rd in Dunbarton NH on 7" of ice. Even my buddy who live in Walpole MA thinks he will be able to get on the ice in his area this weekend. There are houses on Newfound, Sunapee, Winnisquam and Winnipesaukee already. I'm a little confused why you are having a low ice situation this year- it's off to an amazing start here!

Only been on the warmwater lakes so far, twice, so bass, pickerel, panfish. Chipped some ice for my favorite lake trout spot this past weekend, it's close but needs some time. I think I'll be able to get out again this weekend. Buddy is putting the hardside out this Saturday.

The Lake is too warm and when it does start to develop ice the next few days it warms up above 32... NEK has been cold enough for people fish up there but it's also away from a large body of water... right now it's almost 40 outside and it was in the upper 30s all night and pouring... pretty much sums up the weather pattern we have been in on Lake Champlain

It's a mixed bag here. Some of the local lakes have 6 inches or better already. But yesterday in Jackman (where you'd expect the ice to be think enough by now!) a groomer went through the ice. Depends on how much snow they've got on them, I guess. The insulation from the snow keeps them from freezing as fast.

It's been terrible weather for duck hunting and fishing... lake was super low, couldn't launch but at a few launches.. didn't freeze up at all until the last week of the season which was so cold that it locked up all the launches until about a week after the season ended.... lame
