I think the flat link pro (the one you can pass a shackle through) is pretty awesome. I also think it's too expensive. I think pretty much everything is too expensive though so...

The original post of the picture wasn't to make any insinuation that the article was anything other than a paid for advertisement. Just wanted to screw with you @BDN.

 

Believe it or not, the thimble (superfluous third winch nipple) you have is stronger, to me, than the newer offerings they have. Simply because the rope is part of the loop.

Now here's where you're wrong.
That thimble is absolutely worthless. It isn't even attached to the rest of my winch line!

 

If nothing else, seeing that massive billet with all the wording on it, nestled against a shiny aluminum fairlead, #pantydropper, #EAF.
