    What do you mean mount it somewhere else? It's pretty custom formed to go where it needs too.

    The movements isnt horrid. But it does move. Granted, my ham faceplate is bigger then any phone.

    I could swap my phone mount over and see what it does.

    No no. I'm saying not use the Panavise mount at all, and bolt the RAM base directly to the dash.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    My neighbor did that, it works but the dash flexes cause it's just plastic. Be better if you could put a washer under each screw.

    Broken or bent?

    Take off spindles usually are fairly inexpensive. Get a pair and slap some gussets on them before you bend another.

    FWIW, any 1st gen that wheels could benefit from spindle gussets. They cost $30 and will save you a big headache.

    Just got a call from them...they think it might actually be the ball joint part of the camburgs. Not sure what its called. Gonna order a set now
