its not the uniball. its the one that is attached to the spindle. the adapter.

    I feel the same way!!

on the good side of this, I know I needed a new rack, LBJ, and UCA's. So not a total waste. but I could have had a lot of help from buddies and got it done for beer

I'm somewhat confused by this picture. It would be hard to mess up the slug adapter.

Not sure why the lower misalignment spacer is in there, and the slug adapter isn't pressed in all the way. You really have to take the spindle off and use a press to get those in correctly.

Are you confident in that shops work in these aftermarket parts?

Bitch still runs.jpg Just hit 530k. I don't drive it too much lately. It will be a time capsule for kiddos. Yeah I know it's a 98 but 99 sounds better in there.

Thanks, other than the suspension wheels and tires, I try to keep it looking stock with Tupperware and all. I think it just makes it stand out more as a survivor as the years go by.

Niiice truck. That stance, and overall look. I dig it. You managed to make the least appealing front end actually look badass.

    And 530K? Shit's bonkers.

Went home this afternoon and tore apart my dash to see about hard mounting the RAM to it. I was looking at the area above the glove box and below the air bag, as close the the center console as possible. I **think** it would be fine with a good mounting plate behind it and I **think** it would be fairly solid/shake free.

    But...

I'm not willing to drill my dash for an "I think" so I bitched out and ordered the panavise mount. Ha ha. Thanks for everyone's input/advise.

    Here's the mount I bought.

And the magnetic plate I ordered will mount to that.

    http://m.ebay.com/itm/RAM-Mounts-RA...%3A6bfbf2871590a6a9287ddf4fffd4dbfd%7Ciid%3A1

I'll throw up some pics after it all arrives.

Smart move. Check your muffler bearings while you're at it. You don't wanna be in the middle of nowhere and have those go.

The slug adapter isn't pressed in all the way. It's suppose to be pushed all the way in with a circlip on top to hold it in.

Whether there's an issue with it, or they did it wrong, I can't say.

With all these new dual mode exhaust systems I wouldn't be surprised if they actually come out with some sort of muffler bearings at some point, that is, right before they ban the internal combustion engine.
