I have a 2017 ORDC. When accelerating hard from a stop I hear a vibration in first gear. It's less noticeable if I lay off the throttle. No vibration in any other gear. Dealer says it's "normal charactoristic". Are you guys experiencing this? Auto transmission.

The response comes along with a blank stare and silence . I think it comes from service manager school .

Can you be more specific? Accelerating how hard? Hearing a vibration? From where? Not feeling a vibration too?

Based on some of the threads here I sometimes don't blame them.

It's also an honest response in many cases (from dealer point of view). Look at the rear diff whine. It might not be a good thing, but it's pretty normal.

I have a vibration on mine and its pissing me off. Almost feels like a warped rotor.

Oh yes I agree. A normal defect is still a defect. But suddenly you're left with the burden of establishing it is unacceptable. That's a bit subjective unless you have access to a lot of failure data. It's a wonderfully simple answer because it acknowledges the issue, trivializes it, and lets you know they have no intention of working it. All this with only two perfectly acceptable words. Frustrating as hell.
