I only remember selecting air force, not USAF. It doesn't offend me if it doesn't offend others

I work with the USAF all the time and am waiting to be posted on USAF E3s, which is not restricted to NORAD missions. Half of my trade is actually posted to the States. We can even receive American medals

Gawd how I miss all the acronyms! :D

About to turn in for the night, but just wanted to clarify in a way that emoticons often can't...that I cherish that spirit of brotherhood that only those who served (regardless of branch) can understand. And while I might tease about army or air force pukes, swabbies, etc, it's a pleasure to hang out with those who put aside their personal rights long enough to serve.

    Semper fi,
    Pete

I don't miss the acronyms and abbreviations at all.....but they did make sense. Where I work now, they are always throwing these things around and sometimes they SOUND the same as military jargon, but mean something completely different....and I work for a defense contractor!
These "I didn't have to serve." engineers here love to try gain one-upmanship using abbreviations and acronyms....and I have caught many of them with their pants down by asking what it stands for or means??? .......and they can't answer! I love seeing the cutesy little, over-paid, twerps get their skivvies in a wad!!!!!!!!

Anyone have any examples of the people doing this? I have never served but It makes me mad that someone would do that! My dad was Army SF retired 44 years and my brother is now Army SF and I like to support them but would never use the supplied military emblems in the avatars for myself I would like to see a support option I would put that up. Thank you for all who serve and what you do for us. I hope this issue gets resolved for you guys/gals.

    Good call

I think I speak for all of us service members when I say, this isn't exactly what we thought it would be. Am I right? Was it anything like you thought? But we had the courage to raise our right hand, as a scared young kid, and serve our country. To those who have done/are doing this......take it off. We WILL find you

Foreign military guys can keep it. Since there isn't a foreign military crest available. They served, in mostly the same theaters we did. A soldier is a soldier regardless of the flag they're under and deserves that recognition.

LOL No kidding. I would say this applies to family members of service men and women as well, or at least non-immediate family members.

Maybe you chairforce guys don't see pride in your duty :p I keed.

No, seriously, I disagree with you. If you stood there and swore an oath to protect this nation and its people, to be govern by the UCMJ, to accept sacrifice, and was discharge honorably (or under honorable conditions), you have the right to display it ALWAYS, and with pride!
