Many people on the forums have complained about Entune Navigation, the cost of mirroring phones to the Entune screen, and some have upgraded their rearview mirrors for added features.

In searching for a solution, I came across a wireless phone mirroring rearview mirror that displays anything on your phone into the rearview and has a built in camera for recording video (if you like to do that sort of thing).

Has anyone tried one of these? Would be awesome to be able to use the wireless charger in my truck, not deal with a clunky phone mounting solution, and be able to still see google maps while driving.

    Here's what it looks like:

It sounds good, but I'd want to hear real-life reviews before spending $200+ on it. There's a video showcasing the functionality over at http://www.qualitymobilevideo.com/rvm430wfdvrg.html, but the guy presenting is beyond obnoxious and I already want to punch him in the face.

From the video, the mirror's display looks fairly decent, even with the low screen resolution. Camera's video also looks decent - you can read license plates - but note that all examples are shown in perfect daylight and at slow moving speeds. I suspect that night performance will be crap.

Having to put the phone into air mirroring mode may be a pain, or it may not be, depends on your tastes. And will the mirroring still work if the phone's screen is off? I don't know. I do know I'd prefer my phone's screen to be off.

Its a great idea, but half of your mirror is non functional. I want all of my rear view mirror available for scanning traffic to my six.

I actually like it, but I see it as a failure.

All good points, that was just one example I came across. I want to use my wireless charging capability but Entune navigation is such garbage I end up using my phone which requires me to plug it in and sit it in the cup holder (for now). Also looking at the new heads-up displays coming out :)
