I used it on a FWD vehicle. I know they can lose tread on it if it's too much spin, right? If I helped a RWD would u suggest I tell them to lightly touch the gas?

Spinning can either build up heat and melt the tabs off, or get enough grip to just rip the tabs off. And I believe that Maxtrax will not warranty them if they are broken due to wheel spin.

Any type of vehicle you just want them to lightly touch the gas to get the tires to slowly spin to grab the tabs on the tracks.

    Edit: Maxtrax Warranty:

I'll continue to requote you, they do not sell stripped but you can get stripped ones for cheap/some are cheaper then these are. But you are paying for quality

I always use chains at work. It takes a lot to make them brake. But when they do depending on tthe length they fly chest high about 10 ft then after that they slide across the ground pretty fast. Yes chains are an eye opener when they brake but they are also to heavy so gravity dose draw that force downward. Unless its being pulled upward. But honestly, the weight of a chain in compared to a strap. A strap is way better.

Seriously. I want to learn how to properly tug a vehicle out. FWD and RWD. We should set something up. What's everyone doing this weekend?
