I am very interested, but I'm uncertain of what my status will be in June. Being the cost is only $50, I'd be willing to signup and see how it plays out.

Good idea, didn't really think about doing that. I wonder if the 50$ is refunded if I don't show. who else is thinking of doing this? Dave, Zachk, and Mike is three. Don't want to sign up with the intent of calling in sick to work then not be able to join with friends in the KY/TN group. @Brussell56, are planning on attending?

However I think the fee is per truck. So if someone just wants to navigate, I don't think that cost anything extra. Is that how you read it @Dave41079 ?

I "raced" enduro's when I was doing the dirt bike thing years ago. They are somewhat like rally events.... Enduro's are timed events, ran on a speed average between checkpoints at locations unknown to the rider prior to finding them. Some of the course would be what was known as a "transport section". Those were usually public roads or fire access roads. You would have to purposely ride slow to keep from getting ahead of schedule. Then we would enter what was known as "special test" sections. ie....tight woods....with only the promise of 28" between trees on a minimally marked trail.....and you had to maintain a 24 mph average (which was IMPOSSIBLE, even to the best world class riders) There would usually be a check when you first dropped into the woods to keep you honest....(No getting ahead of schedule) "Burning a check" (running hot, or ahead of schedule) would result in 2 points deducted per minute. 1 second into a minute would be as bad as 59 seconds.....you just could NOT be ahead (or behind) schedule. Another check would usually be at the end of the special test sections.....where you would be docked 1 point per minute LATE. After special test sections, you would usually have a "reset", where you would have a few minutes free time to gas the bike or grab something to eat or drink. One or two of the checkpoints would be "secret checks", where your time was recorded to the absolute second. Ideally, you would enter that check at 30 seconds into your minute. Time was counted plus or minus from that 30 second mark. Total seconds accumulated at secret checks was later used to determine tie breakers. Checks could not be any closer than 3 miles apart. Once you went through a checkpoint, you could pin it for the next 2-3/4 miles or so, then slow up if you had time before reaching the 3 mile mark. If you were approaching a check and you were running hot, they would count your time as soon as you touched a foot on the ground, even before entering the check. Some of us learned the fine art of coming to a complete stop, but balancing the bike without "dabbing". (touching the ground)

Many AMA National Enduro's I rode, you would be on the bike for 6 to 8 hours. (Some even more) In the end, the fastest riders would prevail, but timekeeping skills often determined the overall winner to a greater degree than flat out speed... Long story short, you had to be FAST AND SMART.....You had to ride as hard and fast as possible most of the time, while equating distance into time....and figuring out at EXACTLY what mileage point you should be at for any given second. I rode the AMA National Enduro circuit for 17 years. Best finish was a 4th overall at a National in Macarthur Ohio in 1989. I also competed in the ISDE (International Six Day Enduro) It was, as the name implies, a six day "stage race" where total points are accumulated AND the reliability of your bike was REALLY tested. "Back in the day" they were known as reliability trials. You had to do your own mechanical work, NO ONE else was allowed to touch the bike, You would have 10 minutes at the end of each day to get it ready for the NEXT day. That usually included changing a rear tire, which could be done in 2 to 3 minutes with a LOT of practice. ISDE was held in a different country every year. Only 2 times ever in the US. European enduro riders carry the same staus in their homeland as NFL or NBA stars in this country. Several of the greatest ISDE riders in history are also multi time winners of the Dakar Rally.

Timed events can be EXTREMELY fun and challenging.

A vinyl wrap would take care of the red and it would be easier than adding a transfer case to yours...
