Send me the VIN on the vehicle in question so we can double check with Autocheck instead of Carfax, Autocheck is what Auctions and Dealerhips use. Carfax is for consumers.

And what's weird is there is absolutely no sign of damage.

My Taco is in the body shop for minor damage. I was there yesterday to take some pictures of my truck all taken apart, and there was a brand new 2016 Ford F150 Lariat there for repairs. The F150 had no body damage. However, the owner hit something and blew the right rear tire. The truck's sensors thought it was going to flip, and the side curtain airbags left and right deployed. Seat airbags and dash airbags did not deploy. About $10,000 to replace the airbags... No damage to truck... This is what I think happened to the Murano...

My friend had a newer Silverado a few years back while in NC. We got in a minor a cident in a parking lot which did not damage to his truck. He paid the lady cash for her damage and that was it. A few years later here in CA, he goes to trade in the truck and the dealer refuses to take it. When asked why, they said that the trucks carfax reports it had once been hit by a train. Yup, a train. LOL. My buddy was like, wtf, and had some small words exchanged regarding common sense, etc. They ended up taking it but offered him way less then his asking price.

I've seen the report. I think he even called. I couldn't stop laughing when he told me.

What's even more aggravating is that it's a beautiful vehicle. It was a special order, original owner was dealership service manager's wife...

It's an "SV," which kind of the mid-grade model. It has navigation and Bose sound, but no leather seats or sunroof, which happened to be the only options my mom didn't want. Sticker price was like $38,000 new. My parents paid nowhere near that...

Who says it was a locomotive? Maybe a Trane air-conditioner fell off the roof of a building and landed on it LOL.

    Sent back the report.

Sure it weird that it was reported almost two months after it was sold to your family.

I would really question it, or at least try and get with the Sheriff or Local police to see if they have a report for the Case number that is in the Autocheck and see what happened.

Airbag was deployed somehow according to the report and vehicle was towed as it was "disabled" according to the Autocheck.

Next to vehicles, HVAC is another passion of mine. I found out that my friend's neighbor's house had the original central A/C from when the house was built in 1964. She let me make a video of it. It is a 1964 Trane that finally died in the summer of 2013.

This is probably why they waited 2 months after the purchase to report the accident? :notsure::evil::annoyed:

If it was hit on the right side like the CARFAX report says it was, then they did a hell of a good job fixing it... There's no signs of any damage...

I know, it's why I'm hesitant to buy a used vehicle unless it's like a classic or a specialty vehicle of some sort.

its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
I bought my truck at Fred Beans with a CARFAX last year, I wasn't pleased with Fred Beans at all they told me about having 10% discount at the Parts dept. found out that wasn't true, 2 weeks after I bought it I found a leaking front shock and they dicked around saying this wasn't a covered by warranty issue ,took it to another dealer fixed it no probs. in fact the salesperson called me today left a message happy new year. needless to say another Toyota dealer that sucks message deleted
