That feeling when a 6.2L escalade gets similar gas mileage to your 4cyl taco... :bananadead:

I love the drivetrain it's been a pleasure to drive around these past weeks. The 4L80E with the 6.2 is a great combo, super decisive and keeps the revs low even with the immense weight of the escalade. Def on the list of possible drivetrains for future use.

    Maybe it's the muffler guy!

    1. Cut off cats and sell them.
    2. Charge customers (whose cats you stole and sold) to replace stolen cats.

Considering I just pulled out the garage leaving my neighborhood with a big turn coming up, damn straight. Have fun but keep it safe......

Speedos off too but not that much.

LOL. I'm smiling, good attention to detail! When I put LEDs in that batt light stays on. And that right side must've been a bunk one.Went out after 6 months, unless it just came loose.

Lol I totally agree. My truck's pretty much stock 4x4 and it was incredible how easy I got through snow here in Denver this morning. Way more powerful than my old jeep xj's 4x4 was

Has anyone tried insulating the speedo cable on the 95-97 tacos? I have a new one ready to put in but I want to avoid the terrible bouncy noise for as long as possible

Used to have an XJ too. Thought about getting a grand, decided on the Tacoma. At times I wish I had a newer Grand Cherokee just because of dash light stuff and 98' technology. I have no regrets. These first gen tacos are nothing short of amazing reliable beasts.

Yeah, I fried something on the instrument cluster when I tried tapping into it for 12v. Hasn't worked right since even though I replaced the gauge cluster. Figured it might be the vss. Didn't know cable can come loose....?
