--update! Selling the thing as it's not what I want. I've got a lot of weight on the truck and I need low end power. If anyone in PDX needs a well made exhaust hit me up.

installed the magnaflow exhaust system on the truck and I'm having a hard time with it. The thing is pretty loud and it seems like the truck is more sluggish taking off. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a normal behavior for magnaflow products?

Not an expert but I think all non-oem exhaust systems (on n/a engines) will do more harm than good in the torque/horsepower departments. If it's not forced induction you're just making more noise.

I have magnaflow. The 4Runner feels sluggish but I don't have a point of comparison other than my Tacoma. Different rigs though

this!!^^^ and pretty much why I go with a CAI on tacos. 2nd gen/3rd gen neither felt or sounded
right to me with an exhaust change. With the CAI though, perfect.

MORE sluggish than factory??? Did it come with a potato stuck in the end?

Well, a potato stuck in the end would most likely yield better results as it would restrict the exhaust flow.

OP lost back pressure which led to a loss in bottom end.

OP have you tried a potato?

It's because your exhaust system is 3in piping the factory is 2.5

This is why I went with a Gibson cat back is because it's 2.5 but mandrel bend so you get better flow of your exhaust but do not loose back pressure and low end torque

Unfortunately that other guys are right you lost low end torque which is the most important thing in a truck but you gained top end higher rpm power

    I can take one

Just gives the truck a little grumble

Not as loud as the magnaflow but defiantly helps turn my 285s a little better

    Actually helped gas mileage too
