I did this with fender washers on the back. Stout as hell:

I mounted my Super Quickfist to the fender on the inside of the bed. It's holding my 20lb air tank. I just used fat washers as well on the backside.

I will have to see if mine will fit across the front. Im pretty sure it will, if it does then mounting it there maybe an option. But then i have to buy a $60 mount...

This is originally what i had in mind. Glad to see others are having success with it mounted to the plastic bed. Is that the mounting hardware that was sent with the mount or did you go out and buy more?

I originally had my Hi-Lift mounted to the bed rail against the back of the cab. I just made some mounts from some basic Hardware from Home Depot. worked great. probably cost me 5 bucks.

I have yet to run out.. and get enough time with it to see. But, the average is probably 10-20 trips depending on what I air down to. I also use to pressurize our shower and other misc chores. it lasts quite a while.

Original hardware, but I added fender washers in the back - one inch I think. There is zero play in the wall of the bed. That was my original concern, but it is stout as hell.

I was looking at that, it seems to be a very reliable way to carry compressed air. Maybe better than buying the expensive ARB compressor, hoses, fittings, etc. How much did your bottle cost you if you dont mind?

I could probably have my friend or step father fabricate a high lift mount for me, its just getting them to do it for me that makes it a hassle. Also i need to make sure it will fit across the cab, if not then i will have to mount the jack on the side of the bed using my original setup.

I'm in a total of $70 for my Air tank setup. I picked up the tank used for $25 and got the 150psi regulator from Sierra Expeditions for $45. I already had those hose and fittings at home.

You dont even need it to be that fancy.. I used threaded rod, a coupler for a spacer, and wingnuts. I used T nuts for the bed rails, but you could get away with a bolt and using the head vs a T nut and threaded rod. heres mine..

I have a bed cover that it will be going under so this method will not work for me. Its a super simple way to mount a lift though, If i didnt have a bed cover i would use this method.
This is what i need! How long is that jack? I have a 48", hopefully that will fit.
I have the same bed cover so you know how it uses the side rails for the cover....

Yeah it's a 48". And it's perfect cause I rarely open the last panel of he cover so it's always hidden and out of the way.

Hey I get all my mod ideas the same way everyone else does...from other people!

Chalk it up to learning and sell it. You have no idea how many things I've bought only to realize I don't like it then sell it and buy something else. My wife hates my truck already :p

Does it bang on the bed like that or is it stable?

Good question! I have a handle holder so i am not so worried about the handle rattle, but i am curious about the lift hitting the bed and making noise...

It's pretty stable. Once you snug the bolts down it's pressing on the bed wall. Then add the weight of the jack and you'll never remember it's there til you need it.
