I know they're running a promo code for 20% off with the code "tnation" until the 13th. See if you can use it in store!

Any recommendations for places to camp near Reno? I'll be out that way in March and want to put the RTT to use. I know of places to go around Truckee and stuff but would like to check out places in Nevada.

Yeah, took some convincing with the girlfriend but once she went down to Tepui's showroom and checked them out she was in.

Yeah, past Reno is fine. I'll be there for the wedding on St Pattys day then have 4 days afterwards to do whatever so figured I'd try to get some camping in.

    I'll check out around Fernley.

Are you planning on just camping or do you wanna explore? @EDDO has some pretty cool routes mapped out for that area I'm sure he can set you up.

Or at the least send you down a non passable trail :boink:

Seriously he knows that area pretty well

4 days. NV-447 through Empire to Gerlach. Then north east along the track to Frog Pond Hot Springs (nice camp spots). Visit the Trego springs. Drive the Playa. If you are pro with a map then find the springs to the north via the road that goes that way from Gerlach. The playa will be wet in places, don't get stuck.

If you do this send me a conditions report after. I am keeping tabs for a trip in march.

This will take you through a few playas, is a cool route. Be good with a map though, a few of those roads are hard to find and prob changed a bit since.

Ted if you want someone to help (drink beer with Willy and watch you do work) you have my number.

Have you ever seen R3? I am waiting for the day they go there and I get turned around for not carrying/putting on chains.

Only seen it once. 99.99% of the time they will just close the highway instead of R3

Yeah I learned that one last night. It took me 18 hours to get from Park City, Utah to Sacramento. 350 miles of that was chain controlled/snow covered highway......

    ...too much shit to list.
But they do for floods. With the storm drains covered in snow, its really easy to happen. We're on flood watch till Monday.
