I believe he's open but on a limited basis. I havent driving by in a while. I know he was getting old with no one to apprentice for him. He could have closed up shop.

I hate to say it but I am thinking of switching to Kings already. Not too happy with the icons ride as a daily driver.

You can try sending them to dsm to be revavled but not sure that'll totally fix it. Or if you do order kings go through dsm and tell them how you want the ride

I think Im going to just switch all together. Everything I read is that they ride better than OEM and in my opinion thats not true at lower speeds. They are great on the highway and I intended on having them for 30-50mph on washboard dirt roads which I am sure they will perform great but I dont enjoy the ride from 15-40 on road everyday. Rides like an early 2000 Dodge Ram. Just not what I want as an everyday driver.

You're going to switch, and you're going to notice the exact same feeling around town. And then you're going to read all the bullshit about long travel and switch that. And still realize that it rides like shit around town.

There are way too many people spreading the bullshit that an aftermarket suspension is going to "ride like a Cadillac" "float down the road", etc. etc. It's simply not true. At all. Even a little bit.

Sure, they HANDLE a hell of a lot better than stock, but they simply WILL NOT ride better than stock. They won't. It's not possible. The higher spring rate will guarantee that.

I'm ignorant, so if anyone wants to say otherwise, I'll just ignore you and consider you an idiot from here on out.

Actually, my new Tacoma rides so rough that I'm thinking when I move on to Icon's or King's or whatever it might be an improvement lol. Are second gens that rough? I can't remember.

By no means am I expecting a "cadillac ride" but I didn't expect it to be be much worse than stock. I agree that no Tacoma will ever float down the road either.

so true. When I buy news suspension (ive done 2 rounds of bilsteins (I like them, but after breaking 2 rear end shocks, I decided I need something a little "better") I went with Fox in front and rear (with Allpro std leaf pack and ubolt flip). All I compared my new set up to was OFFROAD. I figure even FOX shocks weren't gonna make an AMAZING on road ride (having said that, I am satisfied with the ride on road) but with 35's + the suspension + other things like the spare tire carrier and rear bumper weight, the truck is never going to ride like a car...its a truck!

I keep that out of my equation when upgraded parts, I build this for offroad and as long as it gets me to and from work (for now) and rides great offroad, I'm happy haha

I know this isn't everyone's case, but its how I view it

Im running the extended travel 2.5's and AAL in the back. (stage5)
I was also wondering if weight was a factor. I only have sliders so I do realize I am pretty light for 600# (or 650) springs.

    Are floor mats a mod?
I agree with Alex, a lot of the ride degradation is the heavier springs.
    BUT (bp51 plug coming)
Bp51s have adjustable compression AND rebound, so you can tweak to your hearts content!
If u wanna come drive my truck before u replace what u have, let me know.

I have a front bumper on the way and will probably order a rear here soon. Once I add a little more weight I will see what it feels like especially in the rear. I appreciate it and may take you up on it either way.

You have 650lb springs cranked down to get you a lift and an add-a-leaf in the rear with no extra weight. Yeah, she gon' be a little harsh.

What PSI are your tires at? Are they e-rated too? What size are your wheels?
