Was this the thread discussing the Plano case for the Prinsu rack? I need to find that model number, and is it the longest possible without sticking off?

    No problem!

I like Team Caddo! But only because those are the counties I have lived in.

Here's mine mounted, it's the 42" case, model 108421, exterior dimensions are 46" x 16" x 5.5". Behind the case there is 5" from the bottom or 3.5" from the edge of the latch. In the front it is 7" from the bottom to the front crossbar that I mounted vertically or 5.5" from the edge of the latch. Model 108423 and 108442 are the same dimensions just all black.

The wheeled case model 108180 is 54.625" x 15.5" x 6" so it should also fit but I'm not sure how the wheels would fit/look/cause noise.

Yes, all my recovery stuff stays up there, I drilled holes in the bottom to mount it and then sealed them. Inside is shackles, snatch block, 30' dyneema rope, a few 20' straps, tree saver, gloves, winch remote, and some other odd stuff. I used to have to remember to throw the bag in the truck when I went out and I couldn't help someone I passed on a normal day, now everything is there always.

My truck does stay garaged at night so I'm not worried about curious onlookers most of the time.

I've had everything in a small Action Packer in the bed. I'm thinking of moving it up to the case, but I'm sure that would only create more wind noise.

I had to pull my big side lights off for normal use; just loud as hell going down the road.

My tires are loud enough that I haven't noticed any noise from the rack

Sweet. That would free up some room of stuff behind the seats then.

That is why I am going to do some sound deadner on the roof pretty soon. Cut down on that wind noise.

I hear high density foam works really well in the head liner with deadener installed.
