Hey taco owners wanted to know if any of you were able to fit wrangler duratracs stock on any of your stock trucks without rubbing. I'm considering either 265 duratracs or 265 BFG ko2. I'm stuck between the two of em cause I need a tire that's amazing in the snow and I've heard mixed review of the ko2 in snowy conditions but the duratracs I've heard are high maintenance and can be loud on the road.

I have them on my 13. They are silent. And yes, they'll fit.

You didn't have to cut at all to fit em?

I put a set of DuraTracs on back in November and am so far very pleased with them. Great traction in snow, with an acceptable increase in road noise. I stayed with stock tire size and they are standard load.. Despite this, I still see a small decrease in MPGs since the swap.

Stock size for the sport is 265/70/17 if I'm not mistaken?

    Stock size is 265/65/17

You can up a size with no rub/no issues whatsoever 265/70/17

Might be selling mine with the OEM wheels ... 3k miles. Going for bigger tires @17tacosport

I live where we have snow and mountains in BC, and I can tell you that I have had no problems driving with my KO2s. Semis jack knifed, cars in ditch and my Tacoma felt great using 4H and not driving like an idiot.

Yeah I live in buffalo so I wanna have a tire that helps me on my commute to school and a little off-roading and even making road trips up to Canada even.

Haven't had them on my Taco but I did run Duratracs on several Jeeps and they performed incredibly in some really snowy Ohio winters (on and off road). They are relatively quiet, not that heavy so mpg doesn't suffer terribly and frankly, they look pretty badass. i got about 50k out of my last set before selling them to someone and buying some Mud Country 35's. The GY MT/R's are even nicer imho but the Duratrac's are great around town and perform quite decently off road as well. I'm running the Cepek Fun Country's on my Taco and love them so far. They have done great in the snow (as well or better then the Duratracs) and look and roll great. Haven't had them through an entire cycle to comment on tire life but so far so good and sone you might consider for something different that can handle both on and off road work.

They are a tough tire so the C would probably be fine, the E is the same weight as the other brands E, which is to say heavier for sure.

Yeah I def didn't like the tread pattern on the MT/R's, one of buddies fit 33 inch duratracs on a stock wrangler and surprisingly didn't have a problem with rubbing. Thing was that he switched to 15 inch steelys from the stock rims so I'm debating if I should stick with the 17 inch sport rims or go for the 15 inch trd rims.

Definitely get the Duratrac's! They're great in snow and even fit my 2nd gen without rubbing.

I have stock size duratracs on stock wheels/suspension. I'm much happier with them over the stock wranglers. Not too loud on road, aggressive look, and better reaction with minimal mpg loss staying with factory size.

Did you have to remove any of the mud flaps cause I heard some people take off the front ones to fit bigger tires.

Duratrac 265/75/16's fit with no problems or rubbing in the front of my truck. No modifications needed. Been running them for a few months now. Great tire. They work excellent in the snow, of which we have had a heck of a lot lately.

Main reason I stayed with the standard load 265/70/16 was because they still came with like a 40k warranty when the next size up had none.

Good to hear that, did you get a full size spare to put under the truck of you just keep the stock tire spare that was already there cause I'm curious as to whether it would even fit in that spot.
