Radio constantly reboots and or freezes

Bought the truck used in September. Still covered under the 12/12 bumper to bumper. Should I take it in? I only ask because it's likely it wont act up for them. Will they do anything? I have seen several posts about this so I was curious if anyone was getting anywhere with them.

non-nav, non-jbl entune.

 

My pioneer unit recently started doing this. Very annoying.

 

Try to capture with phone, show them.

 

I had that same unit in my runner. Liked it alot

 

I liked it for less than a year. Then I unliked it very much.

 

Take it in and have them update the radio.

 

I had the same issue.
I suspected it was an issue with my usb stick.
It had non-audio files on it and possibly a corrupt file.
Loaded new usb stick with audio only files and haven't had any issues in the past 6 months.
If you are lucky, that's all it is.

 

This happened only one time with mine since it was purchased new Feb 2013.

 

Happens to me constantly from what I've heard they have an update for the radios but could make it worse?

 

Take it in so there is at least a documented complaint.

As someone suggested, a video of it twerking would be good. Just do it in a way that there is no doubt it was taken in your truck, not something you just grabbed off the web.

 

i had 1 album on my usb stick that would freeze the whole thing up about 15 seconds into 1st track every time. Not even the power button would work.
Deleted that album from the usb stick and haven't had issue since.

 

This too is my problem as we speak!! Didn't get much answers from Toyota! Mine is also a non entune non jbl stereo that keeps shutting off then back on again! Can't find any information on it needing an update like the entune decks do. I'm having a new HU installed next week and I hope this fixes the problem!
