I passed a few Jeeps with headlights that look like yours and the light was always in the upper part. Most headlights have the light in the upper half because that's the side that reflects light toward the ground. You sure you have them up side down and not just poorly adjusted?
Me too, just curious what other people use. I've had great luck with Startron for years now.

I run ethanol free in my small engines. Can go over the border to NY and get it at Stewart's. Fortunately, NY is only 15 minutes away. Truck likes ethanol free too.

I think MA must have some law against using it in automotive applications because you can't get it here other than at a marina or a lawn equipment dealer.

I use the Husqvarna XP in my backpack blower / string trimmer and it definitely runs stronger. I lost a bit of juice on the blower using stabilized older two stroke fuel but it seems to be coming back a bit with the XP stuff going through it.

As soon as I got home tonight from work I took them apart and flipped them around but they wouldn't fit properly with the notches. So yes, turns out I put them in the right way, I just needed to angle them down. With a torx15 and a couple of turns later they are properly pointed down.

I liked how the light looked though when i had my high beams on because they shinned in the air. LED light bar is next on the list of to gets:

@cjrodriguez31 happen to have a link to the lights? I could use an upgrade on the lighting for my 63 Falcon. Still has sealed beams and those small yellow spots aren't cutting it for my eyes... I assume they fit in a standard 7" round???

Edit: BTW, morning all. Just a coating of snow here...

Morning. Too dark out to see how much snow we got, but can't be much/bad since there isn't a school delay. Also, been up since about 2:30 because of the kids. Fun times ahead for the rest of the day. I see short temper (more than usual since I'm already short tempered as it is) and frustration in my day today.

Damn, expensive gas! NY is usually $0.20/gal more than MA anyways, is ethanol free even more?
I have a 30" combo light bar I'd part with if you're interested. Shoot me a PM if you want some details on it. Used but in good shape.
Check out The Retrofit Source, they have JW Speaker 7" round lights. Pricey but really good lights.

I do see a couple normal stations with ethanol free. All 2-3 hours away. Anything close to here is just an airport/tractor dealer. There are a total of 20 ethanol free stations in MA, compared to 72 in VT and 721 in NY.

Seems like there must be something discouraging more.

Stewart's prices Ethanol-free 91 about the same as what 10% ethanol 91 or 93 would be. I'd say it averages 25 cents more than here. I only fill the truck with it if I'm going out there to fill a can or two for the small engines.

The only place I will not get gas is New Jersey. I will deliberately stop in Pennsylvania or New York if I think there's any chance at all of running low in NJ. I avoid full service stations here and I think the idea of it being a state law there is ridiculous.

    Morning all!
That is one niggle that I have with the '69, is its speed-sensitive headlights. The faster I go, the faster the alternator spins, so the brighter the lights are. But at low rpms, like cruising through downtown or at a stoplight, they are weak.

Not bad. Plus, you can grab a box of those chocolate chip cookies while you're there :hungry:

And add that to the list of things to hate about NJ.

I really like their hamburgers. I can't explain why since they're probably made from the cheapest buns and ground beef they can find. Maybe it's because whenever I buy one it's because I'm nearly starving.

1st off where are the stations in Mass with ethanol free gas? 2nd, I deliberately stop for gas every time I'm in NJ, have you seen the gas prices there? They are cheap

There's that, but I hate people touching my truck for any reason. Maybe paranoia.

And I hate a state that tells me I can't do something myself that I've done as long as I've been driving.

Yeah, I assumed there was a risk of that. But it would be constant off and on, I tow like 3 times a week minimum. Sometimes twice that.

That's what I use in the sled and the boat. Every tank actually. Corn gas sucks.

Last time I got fuel in NJ. I asked for regular gave me the bill and it was much more then I had figured out in my head. looked and he had but hi test in. after a discussion the manager came over asked what happened. told him he paid me the difference with out any hesitation. I think they do it a lot just by the way they where acting.

Plus, pretty much every Tacoma I've seen get rear-ended has been totaled anyway. So I'd say that taking the hitch ball in & out every time isn't really going to improve your odds. :notsure:

I miss having Stewarts near by. I grew up in upstate NY, that place is like a staple. Do they still sell Damn Good Beef Jerky? If so, pick up a bag, it's awesome stuff. It's made one town over from where I grew up.
js beat me to it, none really close to us.
Agreed, I hate full service stations for that reason alone. I don't like people touching my truck.
You're almost better off with a ball mount on if you get rear ended so it does actually bend the frame. I would rather have insurance total the vehicle than have 'minor' frame damage and have it pulled. Something about trying to straighten a truck frame just doesn't sit well with me.

This is true. Seems like straightened frames are almost never actually 'straight'

So, leaving the hitch in DOES improve your odds!
