What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I haven't found the sidewalls on mine to be weak really. I've rubbed them on stuff that I knew better than to try traversing and they are unscathed, it's the main tread block that's disappointing especially on an E rated tire.

 

Idk man. Considered how many we have killed in the last 4 years...not sure that's entirely ture.

 

I can only speak about my own personal experience with this and you can only speak about your own. The rest is hearsay.

If I had been in Frank and hit that rock sticking out the same way, Frank's RR MTR would have a torn sidewall.

 

You're obviously not trying hard enough.

 

I guess not, the sliders tend to keep me off anything that would really spear into the sidewall.

I wanna drive an automatic 1st gen. Just curious how different it feels.

 

All ive noticed it do is help keep the trans in a gear instead of the constant up n down shifting i was getting at 80kmh.

 

Drastically.

Not near as fun either.

 

What I figured. It's like driving around a little shitbox. It feels even less powerful and not nearly as fun when it's auto. Though with a stock V6 TRD and 5 speed, my truck still feels relatively peppy. Slowly getting heavier though...

 

Yea. It's nice in its own way. But the manual is way better

 

I've got to agree. For one, mine is manual, therefore I have bias. But also, it's my first manual vehicle. So it's extwa speshul.

 

Was it hard to do the ignition switches?
Do u have a write up or video?
Also how safe is it if someone breaks into your car, could they just drive off?
