Scored a set of 2nd gen OR wheels with TPMS (and shitty tires) for $195 from a guy on CL, 15 miles from me. I love that wheel style. Guess the mods are on now!

First round of mods done, possibly the last. Dunno. Trying to keep it simple, basic, and functional. Still got to install HAM and CB, waiting on a few parts. Tinkering with a shotgun mount but probably will abandon that idea.

Amazing how much better larger tires and different wheels look.

    20% tint
Air dam removal (no noticeable difference in noise or MPG)
    Badge removal
    TRD OR wheels
    Firestone Destination A/T 265/75 16
Hondo air vent RAM mount (ordered, not here yet; for GPS)
Hondo radio knobs (ordered, not here yet)
    Salex console tray

Went out in the Coastal Mountains above my house to try out the traction control and 4WD.

I actually like the steelies, especially with AT or MT tires on them... just has a "business" look to it. I was going to keep them but found a very good deal on the OR wheels.

I found a set of 2016 OR wheels on CL for $375. Resisting buying them now.

I think that's a little much. I mean, that's probably their worth, but I have $195 in mine with TPMS.

Edit... oh, the 2016. Yeah, those are certainly worth more... and are cool as shit!

Just back from a fifteen day Baja trip. Almost 10,000 miles on my 2017 SR.

    Two weeks old. 4x4 2.7 m/t.

It has the convenience package (rear folding seats, cruise control, keyless entry, matching painted bumpers)

Only mod I'm looking to do now is window tint.

My only complaint so far is the windshield wipers, just low and high, no intermittent speed.

Put a Compass/Temp auto dim mirror in for only $120 off ebay if you are patient.
    I think SR5 package wants like $350+ ! ?

Was their an existing wire harness in the headliner for that mirror?

No. You simply tap 12V off the fuse block by the hood release. You run the temp sender wires down the driver side pillar with the 12V line. Tuck the wire behind the hood liner and run over to the mirror. Run the temp sender up to the front where the other temp sensor is located and that's it. Simple 40 minute job. Can't tell the difference from a $5000+ SR5. You save money and get better upgrades by getting an SR and adding better quality upgrades IMO. Rims, tires, shocks, struts, leafs, radio , etc. Put in a Pioneer NEX-4200 ! RPM, tire pressure, engine functions, DVD movies, GPS navigation, Android Auto, steering wheel control etc etc etc. Beats Entune hands down.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
I took the Auto Dim mirror w/ Compass my truck after a few days and put in the one with homelink from a limited, so if someone wants, I'd part with it for like $75.

I didn't like it at first, or even want to like the black bumper, rear bumper, door handles and side view mirrors. But I do now, and really like the look it gives the truck. If I had to choose now, I wouldn't be happy with color matched. It grew on me. I love this truck.
