3 tubes allow you to alter dampening at different places in the shock stroke. Usually two for compression and one on rebound. Not needed for what you want to do with your tru k IMO.

14" also overkill unless you will be doing SUA and getting custom springs. If going that far, better to put in a bed cage and go 16" or 18", and at that point you should be doing LT up front.
12" is plenty for the rear, can be done easily with Dakars and a shackle flip.

You can only get so close to frame or axle with plasma. You can end up undercutting. I have plasma, ended up using cutting discs. Did use plasma to get the bulk of the brackets off to make room for the grinder though. And made shackle flip hella easy.

 

Yep. And holes. I started drilling out the frame. Did one hole. Said fuck it and opened them up with the plasma.
