I wouldn't mod a damn thing on that truck (aside from floormats and maybe a tonneau cover). I am starting to love my truck but I don't trust it. How could you trust it? Mines been in the shop more than anything I've ever driven. It shakes ratlkes and rolls (with a howl).

Anything you mod is something they can point to to deny a warranty claim or refuse a TSB. Look at the drive line vibes TSB. Anyone with suspension mods can't use it--regardless of whether or not it existed before hand.

The new f150 about to drop looks nice, plus it will finally come in a diesel. Something to thing about for all you fellow ship jumpers...

if they are going from a Tacoma (mid size) to a F150 (full size), then maybe, just maybe they bought the wrong size to begin with.

    Again apples and grapes.

Could be, I did it for the size and I didn't want to roll the dice on a lemon. Not to fond of trips to the dealer

I saw a new F150 4x4 rolling down the hwy the other day and thought for sure it was a 2wd. Ford has lowered that front end so much that I could not drive one on the ranch I hunt.

Ford Specs say 9.4" ground clearance which I believe is the same as the Tacoma which means you cannot drive it on the ranch either.

So a Taco wasn't the right purchase for you

    So Fords never have lemons?

Clearance could be same, but approach angle might be affected by it.

    *EDIT*
Looks like 32 in taco vs. 24-25 in F150 FWIW

    I had a 2010, was about to purchase a 2016.

Sure every automaker does but I can tell you for sure the f150 forum isn't littered with complaints like this. I bought the 5.0 because I wanted tried and true. I'm not saying there isn't bad 5.0s either. Not here to start a pissing war, don't worry.

Fair enough. It just drives my nuts to listen to folks compare the Tacoma to any full size. Compare the Tundra all you want, or compare the Taco to the GM twins and other mids as well.

I compared the ford to the tundra. The Ford just gave the best price and options. It's been great so far. The GM twins are nice, esp the GMC offering. So quiet on the interstate but cost more then I paid for my v8 f150
