So u went with a taller spring to reduce preload and a stuff spring to handle the weight? I'm going with a hybrid and synthetic winch line

I understand the preload and stiffness. I have the eibachs currently that come on my fox2.5. Going to 650 but do I go a longer spring to reduce preload

Hedge my bets I guess? Plus this AAL is absolutely worthless from icon. I thought it would hold me up a little bit. also wasn't planning swing out but then again never really had a plan. Now I'm kicking myself for just not going right to the Dakar pack. Maybe someone will take my pack with the AAL

Yes that's exactly what you've got to do. Not sure how it will react though with regards to the shocks themselves. Pretty sure you need to get a plate removed in the shock itself so you can get the full travel of the new coilover. I think... Maybe someone could confirm

If you're extended you're running 14inch coils. So going to 700# you'll have less thread showing on the shock body and less preload hence smoother ride. It it's all checks and balances

I have 600 now and am wanting to go to 650. I have like 1.5inchcof thread showing at 2.25 inches of lift.

Fuck man that looks so good! I was just bitching about matching the powder coat I got. Thinking I'm going to grab me some semi gloss w/ primer all in one krylon. My front bumper should be here shortly as I think it was sent out with yours or maybe a week after.

Not because I want to match front and rear perfect but because the powder coat blows and it needs touch up

Yeah I spotted the 2 dollar sale of Krylon Primer/Paint all-in-one a month ago at Wally World. I bought every single can. I think there were 26 cans that I bought.

I still used the Self Etching primer for the first coat onto the bare metal.

I think I used two Rustoleum self etching primer and four Krylon Satin Black.

I went with MANY very light coats.

Yea that's the ticket right there. I'm figuring I'm in for a solid 4 hours of watching paint dry. And then let it rest for 24 before install. Billy had an aluminum fabbed up that I picked up that had been laying around his shop. Which makes me 100% need aluminum primer first. Good thing is the primer is supposed to set in 15 min. However the paint I was told or read somewhere to wait 45 per coat. Thinking two coats back 3 coats front... can't wait

I brought my bumpers from Fastenal straight to the workshop at work. I had the luxury of time and a warm painting area. I would prep, wash, sand or spray, then go back to my office. Then every hour or so, go and spray on another light coat. Did this routine for a week. Finished last coat on Christmas eve. Then left it to dry for a bunch of days, until yesterday.

Hoping I can get primer and 3 solid coats on over the weekend. Worst case I'll park it in my basement and spray down there with the fan going for some reverse sucktion. The suspense is killing me. Sucks being in NY in the winter. That's why I went powder coat on the rear but it backfired and the guy did such a C- job brutal touched it up day 1
