They now get your info from the dealer and charge you for usage of the toll roads. I received a bill for my temp tag use here in Dallas. They also now charge out of state tags regardless of where they are from.

NTTA is ruthless. I had a charge for tolls 3 months latee the day I took my FRS home with temp tags and just wanted to get home faster so I took DNT.

Hasn't happened yet. I've had my truck for... Like 4 months now. If I get the bill I'll pay it, but...so far nada.

Wish I was that lucky. It took about 4 months for them to get me the bill. I just called and had it paid through my Toll account to get the discount. I only used it one time 2 days after getting my truck.

The dealer can, and should, issue a new temp tag for you.

No telling where the foul up is, but it's their problem to fix.

You guys in the Dallas DFW area just got a Toyota factory or something didn't you? Or maybe they moved a corporate office there or something.

Yeah I think your referring to the new American headquarters in Plano, TX. It's supposed to open pretty soon, first quarter of this year if they are on schedule. I should drive by sometime, it's only a few miles, if that, from my work.

My dealer told me my plates will be mailed to me so I was waiting on them, my temp tags expired, called several times and never got em in the mail. One day, a different girl called me and said I never came to pick up my plates, it been here at the dealer for a month. I'm like "You're kidding right?" I come up there to the office and there's a tall stack of plates on the desk...I'm wondering how many people didn't get their plates in the mail cause IT'S SITTING ON SOMEONE'S DESK!!!

It would be great to get updated on this. I've been hearing about it for a while...they are hiring quite a few people.

I drive past the area ever day going to work. They are definitely hiring along with moving thousands of existing employees here.

I've lived in a lot of states and VA was definitely my worst DMV experience. I am not surprised you are still waiting on plates. Mine took almost 3 months, and I had 2 temp tags over that timeframe. (on my old truck, years ago)

What a nightmare! I did finally got my tags but I had to pester the salesman. I've made him my point of contact to get stuff done. Dealerships have lousy customer service but I really do like my sales guy though. I put him to the test when I was negotiating and he only lasted about 10 minutes until he had to get the closer sales guy.

QUICK FUNNY STORY: while I was going back and forth trying to negotiate, the head honcho of the dealership busted through the front door and screamed at one of the sales guys outside and said "if you don't like it...Wegmans is hiring!" It made me and my wife jump out of our skin because we were sitting near the front door. I damn near got up and walked out. Now that I think back it's funny as hell because it was so startling.

BTW Wegmans is a grocery store where I live. Personally I'd rather work there than at this dealership. This place was a real grind house.

Never waited but it's a different process here.

You get your plates and registration through any auto insurance broker, when you buy a new or used truck an agent will typically meet you at the dealership. You can simply transfer your old plates if it's the same class of vehicle.

Speaking of insurance, I just found out that State Farm finances cars now. The dealer could only go as low as 3.89% which was BS. State Farm pulled through at 1.89%.
